ya that one really grinds my gears too......and another BIG one.... Hagun + full haste samurai who think they are god's gift to DDing.....seriously I parse just as high with my rice ball set up yet they all think i'm *** worthless because I don't TP in haste gear....

and when I can't find the droids I want lol

Im not going to touch this without you posting your gear setup, but haste is kind of a big deal.

having to go to bastok for mats etc etc, that and peeps that think full THF AF is great gear

Apparently Zanshin is as well since he shows it to be 5/5 merited on his merits tab.

All my friends moving servers and myself not being able to come with them for two more months really grinds my gears.

my merits are a "good laugh" really? well let me break mine down for you then...

Category 2: 5/5 overwhelm is a definite...1 have 1/5 shikkikoyo because the JA is too good not to have...then what player? what could you possibly put in that category to make you so much more dominant than me in DD terms? really? i would love to know...blade bash does 0 dmg and while the added effect isn't bad the recast is.... so i went with 4/5 ikishoten for +12TP on zanshins....

Category 1: 5/5 meditate is a given...so you're telling me the 1 extra TP/swing with 5/5 store tp is THAT much more dominant than +5% zanshin (which as i mentioned gives me +TWELVE tp per process)?? really? cuz seriously, you sound so damn elitest that you dont even know what's really good or not..you just want to be like everybody else.....i'd easily take a 5% more process on a JT that gives me 12 TP than 1 more TP per swing with 5/5 store TP....

Rings: Rajas + Ruby (want Sortie Ring in 2nd slot)
Back: Amemet+1
Waist: Virtuoso Belt
Legs: Shikkoku Haidate (working on Blitzer Poleyn with double att+2 and conserve TP+5)
Feet: Nobushi Kyahan

between Zanshins and Double Attacks, I swing twice about 30% of the time on /war which is the sub I use for most things I do....I wouldn't want to use all this gear and ***for 24% haste so I can swing 1 second faster....sorry I'd rather double attack a *** ton more and hit hard... bash me if you will....I really don't care...this thread was a "what grinds your gears" thread...not "lets bash the guy for speaking his mind" thread...but by all means..do so...I really could give a damn less lol...I know my build works...and until you really try it, don't say its ***, because I outparsed my ENTIRE dyna group....consistently by THOUSANDS of dmg...not just a minor win....they were blow outs...

You shouldn't be missing on a regular basis to justify putting any merits in zanshin. If you do miss regularly, then I hate to break it to you, but "YOUR DOIN IT WRONG".

Honestly Eikechi I don't know why you are saying I am bashing you. I would tell you all of the things you can improve upon between your play style and what you wear, but I'm sure you've heard it a million times and haven't cared one bit. So play however you want but one parting comment; How hard you hit is a very small part of the game, don't neglect how often you hit and how accurately.

two things grind my gears...

1). watching a violent movie in FCC-controlled tv. Bad words are subbed or beeped, and violence is overlooked.

2). Indecisive women

If my merits are "a good laugh", 1) how is that not bashing me? 2) how do i still out parse haste build DD's? 3) how can i "do it wrong" if i'm out parsing others with my build?

I don't really "aim to miss" thats not the basis of my build..its simply something to merit to help me get tp IF i miss..my build is a double att+ build, and the only thing i'm missing to cap it (other than using Shogun Rice Balls which are hard to get ><) is the Blitzer Poleyn for DA+2 on my leg slot...

but you didn't answer my question about merits from before...what would you honestly merit in those categories other than what I said..I mean if my merits are so laughable, why not tell me what you have in your categories? I don't instantly discredit things people say, but outright telling me my build/merits are laughable is bashing me...and thats not cool man...the start of my post was simply to say that the "omfgleetsauce" haste sams on my server, think they are god's gift to DDing and that kills me, because I'm right up there with them, they just don't realize it.

and don't take this the wrong way..i'm not mad at anybody for having an opinion, but just outright bashing my playstyle i thought was a lil out of bounds mate....

My gears are ground by players that always talk about doing something and never having the balls to go do it. Those types of players who realize that if something is going to take effort they'd rather lie, not show up and delay until you confront them. Basically players who are in a LS for a few months and then just leave as they aren't getting anything. To an extent that's a lot of players these days but it's happening more and more.

BTW I haven't read a DD vs DD thread yet. Please continue the above.

People who have nothing better to do with their play time on this game than *** and complain to others about how their gear isn't up to par, not realizing that everyone can't be in XX linkshell to be able to get all the really good stuff.

These same people talk only about DPS and Haste builds as if they wrote the code for the game and have forgotten one simple thing; ITS A GAME MEANT TO BE ENJOYED.

Some people could really give a damn about all the mathematician numbers and simply play because either A) they still like this game because its fun to them, or B) they play the game for the camaraderie they feel when playing with friends they've known since NA release.

And don't try to hand me the load about "caring about doing your job to your best ability". While I understand there is a pride factor involved (most refer to it as "e-peen"), you still have to remember, this is a GAME and not a damn JOB.

2 and 3 are pretty much the same question but here are answers.

1. You aren't so pics or it didn't happen.

2. They suck even worse.

3. Or most likely, You are a low amounts of magical haste AND the other DDs suck AND you are fudging at least a little, so gear haste isn't having as big of an effect. Sure you are double attacking 15% more with those riceballs which with your earring and double attack trait means you are only increasing your effective swing rate by 12.6%.

So even at 0% haste (which is doubtful since sams have hasso) a full 24% haste build would still out swing you by 16.8%.

At double march (20%) and haste spell (15%) haste samba (10%) and hasso (10%) for a total of 55% non-gear haste a 24% gear haste vs 0 would raise your attack speed by 114%.

So a 19% double attack 79% haste would outswing your 34% double attack 55% haste by 90.29%. Litterally swinging almost twice as often as you. Tell me again how you are outparsing?


Also get a better rindo and that bow sucks. Something like this or with eve more +dmg

my rindo is only 1% less WS dmg than that...and i have 8 WS acc on my bow slot, so I don't need it on my GK (though I'm working on a better dmg type Rindomaru, just need the fairies to not be stingy....) and idk about anybody else, but those numbers made 0 sense to me....

and doesn't haste have a cap?
