Not sure what having 100 enchanting has to do with overpowering stats.
Its not 100 enchanting that makes things overpowered. 100 enchanting gives you the same stats that the game allows you to have. IE the stats you get from 100 enchanting, you can also find them on gear in the game.
Over powering starts are combining 100 smithing with 100 enchanting with 100 alchemy + smithing(max) drinks + enchanting/alchemy drinks +enchanting gear/smithing gear.
And even with that, theres nothing game breaking about enchant gear, you get 5-7% increase over your offensive stats(ie ingame is 40%, 45% with drinks, 47% with max brewed drinks) less increases with other stats.
So whats really broken is the smithing part, where your weapons get increased in damage to the point where theyre basically dealing 3-6k damage in a swing, meaning theyre 1 shotting everything. Note- mind you enchanting x4 weapon increases to damage doesnt help either as thats just way over powered. Personally I use only 1-2 weapon boosts pieces(ie x2 45% 1h boosts or just x1)as I see fit.
Honestly, I dont see 100 enchanting hurting your game, make your stuff as you normally would and can enchant w/e you want w/o breaking the game or ruining the experience(You dont have to make magic use 0%, can always use other enchants like carry weight, more stamina, more mp, more -resists etc)
Has anyone not had their dragon burn up? Just killed the northwind summit dragon but he's just laying there and never burned up/gave me a soul :< reloaded and killed again, still doesn't burn up!
Unfortunately it seems to be an issue when returning to areas where you have previously defeated a dragon, namely the word shrines. Sometimes(but not always), after killing the dragon, it simply falls down dead and does not grant you the soul. Happened to me three times in a row and then off and on over the past several dozen kills. However, I've found that if the battle ends with the scripted melee animation of riding the dragon's head and finishing it off it grants you the soul every time(at least for me.).

With 100 Enchanting you can get the perk that lets you put two enchantments on the same item. With the right enchantments you can practically make yourself invincible.

Finished it off with smashing it's face this time, but no soul :< Oh well

Then that wouldnt fall on having 100 enchant(which is my point) but on the player base on which buffs to have.
And you could be invincible before you ever did enchanting.
My point is people are correlating 100 enchant = broken, vs Im stating its entirely the player base to make it broken, or break it in otherways before getting 100 enchant could break anything. 100 enchant =/= double enchants, dont have to get the perk if its not needed, can just do 100 enchant for the 100% bonus perk.
Finally got the 100k gold achievement today (could have gotten it long ago with alchemy, but way too lazy to go around the world a thousand times selling potions) and got the skeleton key. Planning to just keep the skeleton key forever, because the rewards for turning it in didn't sound amazing.

also finally got enough malachite to make and fully upgrade my glass armor and sword.
only cost me about 5k-6k septims =/
I spent two days getting my smithing from 16 to high enough to make glass armor. then i realized at 91 it could be legendary. so i did that, and reupgraded all the armor from epic to legendary.
then said...well might as well get it to 100. and at that point i sold the glass armor and made dragonscale. :/ oh well.
If you take the light armor side/path of the smithing perk to Dragon armor at 100, can your next move be to get daedric armor? or do you have to do the other ones to get it?

Nope, need to go all the way up the right side for daedric.
You have to get the others on the heavy armor path to get daedric. I was rather sad when I found I had to spend more points just for the daggers when I had done all of the light armor path.
damn >:( what a waste, i guess i should have just done the heavy armor the whole time. Daedric is the coolest i think XD
They shouldn't have made the dots in the perk connected like a circle.... misleading
What is the level cap so i know how many more perks I get to upgrade? D:
81 is the absolute highest but I've heard that it gets alot slower around 50.
Can anyone confirm or deny that?
I'm in the high 60's now, and it honestly isn't that bad from what I've noticed. It's easy enough to power-level a specific skill if you really want level ups. I'm only seeing myself needing ~5 more perk points to finish what I want, and I still have 3 schools of magic to skill. On a related note, conjuration levels extremely fast if you spam soul-trap on something.

If you're looking for stable gold or gold early in the game, I cant stress it enough to have your crafts leveled, esp. Alchemy.
Level smithing to 100 just doing daggers or leather bracers, w/e is easier for you to farm or buy. As you craft those, enchant each of them and sell them.
Slowly build up your funds, use some perks for enchanting to increase the %. As your funds build, start buying all the ingrediants that you can and start making potions. Sell them back for profit.**
** For better gains I would advise to put a few perk points into alchemy(Ive only put about 5 and worth it) for stronger potions for more gold back. Making enchanted gear with +alchemy x4 pieces helps out a lot. You dont need the max % from the gear pieces to start seeing the larger gains, but ultimately it would help toward the end of your progess.
Making potions worth 1-3k at times can be worth the minimal perks needed. 11~13 perks are needed from alchemy/enchant + w/e you want on smithing. Can always lower that number to fit with your perk paths aswell~
Alchemy basically gives you an endless stream of gold. I have 180k now and can't really spend it on anything useful. Someone got any spending tips? Bought and decorated all the houses already. -_-

Hmm, I do want that trophy for getting 1k bounty in every hold.[/quoty[quote='Sylph.Beelshamen' pid=1631215]Hmm, I do want that trophy for getting 1k bounty in every hold.
>Fight through army of Draugr
>Get scared half to death by a Skeever
I mean, jesus christ. I just started a new character (#9, if you're keeping track) and am running through Bleak Falls Barrow again. Got to the part where there's a wooden spiral staircase just before Arvel the Swift, but forgot about the skeevers. As I was going down, one snarled right under my feet. It was loud as ***and almost gave me a heart attack.

You sound like my brother when it comes to characters.
Only he does it on every game.
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
