I'm pretty sure the people of Riverwood think Dragonborn means "That jerk who when every he visits a Blood Dragon attacks our town." :/
Semi-related
Last time I went to Riverwood one of of the town guards said "Psst. I know who you are...Hail Sithis." at that moment he became my favorite guard ever....then a Blood Dragon showed up and killed him and the other guard. I was sad.
Got another question about enchanting.
I noticed certain enchantments aren't available for certain armor pieces such as for feet, necklaces, rings etc, and only become available for enchantment on more prolific pieces like body armor.
Is this because I need to disenchant an item of that type with the same power, or is it because they limit the types of enchantments based on the type of piece it is?
I can see it being rather broken if you're able to have enchantments like magicka regeneration with Destruction spell cost down on every single piece you wear.
I believe you can only enchant certain items with certain skills. Don't think that disenchanting would help any. I disenchanted the weapon/armor improvement +8% ring to make a ring/neck/smithing apron with +5% on each. (Don't have the right soul gems for +8% atm)

I suppose that makes sense. Luckily the disenchant process makes the power universally available for other pieces as long as it fits in that.
I disenchanted my Novice Destruction robes and put that same power on a ring for myself :D
I also noticed you can't disenchant titled items, it has to be generic and named after the enchantment in order to disenchant.
For example it would not allow me to disenchant that "so-and-so's lucky dagger" or these Morvarth's Boots I found with 15% better sneaking.
Anyone have the dark brotherhood after them yet? Im only lvl10, finished maybe 6 missions/quests and all ready pissed someone off enough to want me killed. Feels like new Vegas, play the game for 15 min and have the powder gangers sending ppl after me lol

lolwuh? They've never come after me and I've killed like 10 people before I even joined them.

It happened to me on my old character before it accidentally got overwritten.
I also was like level 6 and I already had assassins sent after me via Dark Brotherhood. Unfortunately the note the assassin held doesn't tell who the client was that ordered the kill, so it's anyone's guess as to whom you pissed off enough to want you killed.
Also the assassin was a pushover. He kinda stood still in the distance, and I just firebolted him.
Yeah, not sure if it's a quest spell or not but no one in the college is selling invisibility :<
I noticed spells sold scale based on your skill.
For example, I wasn't able to purchase fireball from the wizard in Whiterun until my destruction was creeping up near 50 (adept level I guess). How far along is your Illusion skill? Otherwise it just might need some more skilling up til it's available.

Might be pointing out the obvious, but do you a high illusion skill? Vendors won't sell you gear/spells/etc unless your skill is close
edit- also you dont really need the invisible spell if you just have high sneak skill lol. You can be right in front of someones face and they wont see if with the first sneak perk 5/5 and sneak 90+
I'd love to be a conjured weapon user at some point, but I don't know how well conjured weapons fare against conventional crafted weapons, especially ones that are enchanted. This is of course assuming you have the conjuration perk for increased bound weapon damage and equal skill in whatever weapon type you have.
Which reminds me: Would perks in that weapon field apply to conjured weapons too? :O
All really good questions... I like the bound stuff too, its really cool. I wish they had a bound bow. I am working on getting my enchantment to 100 so I can put 2 enchantments on 1 weapon, I dont see how that could be topped by anything XD.
They do. Just talk to Phinis Gestor in Winterhold. He's the conjuration expert dude. Though I'm curious how well the arrows scale with the power of the bow itself.
hear me and listen well. screw checking the conjuration dude. Fort Amol which is east of white run, and north of ivarstead has a bound bow tome in its prison level. its right in the very first room, just check the buckets. oh and do mind the crazy mages.
I wonder if it was the dark elf in the first town that gives you the forged letter, i busted him out and he ran off crying. Knew i shoulda killed him lol. As for bound weapons a friend of mine has been rocking every mob he crosses using bound sword. Granted he was only lvl 15ish, but i think in the 2hrs i watched him play the only thing that killed him was waterfalls lol

Probably better than the arrows you find laying around. Good arrows are few and far between. I find myself using Ancient Nord all the time. I have a feeling, with my conjure skill, I'd actually do better that route.
Do you think they'll fix the glitch where giants club you to space? :< makes me laugh too much
Hard to say.
Bethesda is pretty good at having no qualms for things like a developer console to screw around with the game, and what bugs do exist that don't hinder gameplay to an alienating level are usually left in for the sake of humor and charm.
Though I think they may have to adjust it so you don't get one shotted. I mean a high enough level guy with heavy armor should be able to take on a giant in close combat without having to resort to magic or archery hit and run tactics.

Certain enchantments only work on certain pieces. As for spell cost reduction, you can put that on ring/neck/body/head and you can get 25% on each with only 100 enchanting skill and the relevant perks and a grand soul gem. Yes, this means you can get -100% magicka cost for any 2 spell schools you want on a single set of gear (this makes magicka obsolete, so long as you are willing to gear swap).
Ring/Necklace seem to be the most versatile pieces. Head is limited to archery and magicka related enchantments.
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
