I think the game read my post about the giants. I was wandering around gathering flowers when I stopped to sort my inventory, was about to talk to lydia for some trading when I heard that old familiar WHUMP and blasted off again.
I hope I'm not the only one, but I frequently forget to shout.
I'm so used to jumping between spells and running like a pussy when ***hits the fan that I forget all about how useful my shouts can be and how much time they can buy me or even turn the tides of battle.
I forget I have useful shouts sometimes.
But Dragonrend. Oh Dragonrend, you so crazy.
No longer getting trolled by dragons flying around and never landing.
For when i just contract the crap from vampires i just cure it by going to a temple?
I'm not sure how it works in Skyrim, but in Oblivion, Vampirism was one of the few diseases exempt from temple and priest blessings.
It involved a lengthy quest on it's own in order to cure yourself; and if you did it wrong, you pretty much stayed as one forever.
Ok, so question... I focus mainly on warrior type things, heavy armor, big axe, ect. Would enchanting be beneficial to me at all? I'm very rookie when it comes to elder scrolls and I'm not sure if enchanting is more of a Mage thing, or if it can be beneficial to warriors. Any opinions?

Yes. You could enchant your axes to do things like extra fire dmg, etc.
Or enchant your armor to increase the two-handed skill/health/heavy armor skill

There are some heavy gear enchantments. Like a ring that adds +12 heavy armor skill and a few others I believe.
I had just bought my house in whiterun and was going to check it out. On the way realized I hadn't checked out the inn yet so went into there, figured I could drink the mage under the table so went for it. Next think I know I'm in the temple thinking, well I havn't seen this yet either so it's all good. Clean up my giant toe and ***then go outside expecting to be in the same town. I look around "Where the hell am I" *open map and see how far away I am "What the F was in that booze". Then some chick got knifed and of corse I stuck my noes in it which has landed me in some prison that supposedly nobody escapes from, where I beat some guy and stole his moon sugar to trade for a knife. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Anyone else finding that this game flows a bit better that oblivion btw? Like when playing oblivion I found I was always sytematicly moving from one quest/questline/dungion to another. This time it's more that I'm just kinda going with it. I can't really say I had a real adventure in oblivion but look at what this one dunking contest against a puny mage has led me into XD
Enchantments can benefit any build, say you smith your own armor, you can then (if you have the right perks) slap on two enchantments such as Increase Health Regen and Increase Stamina Regen on your body armor. Fortify X armor skill is rather lack luster as you only gain a small amount of armor rating as oppose to something more useful such as Fortify One-Handed, Resist Magic, etc.
Could someone maybe point me in the right direction for enchantin? Iirc you need to break something down first before you can enchant it? That's going to suck seeing as all my stuff is Daedric and ebony and those hearts are few and far between...
I've got like, 100 hearts. They sell them in shops every so often and 2 per 48h in the mages college.
You can break down any shitty item you find throughout the game (read: everything you can find is shitty) and then use that enchantment to make weapons/armor.
My setup is like this:
Daedric Bow @~800dmg
Gloves Sneak+Archery
Ring Sneak+Archery
Necklace Sneak+Archery
Daedric Sword @~750dmg
Gloves 1H+Block
Ring 1H+Block
Necklace 1H+Block
Everything is at like 51% iirc, and Magic Damage taken is like 23%.
First level alchemy, then level enchanting and smithing.
7pts alchemy, 7pts enchanting, 10pts smithing
Make potions for fortify enchant, enchant gear that makes alchemy better. Repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat. Make potions for smithing and enchanting, go enchant smithing gear. Use gear+potions to upgrade all gear you want upgraded to ridic status.
Take items to enchanter, use potions and enchant away.

Ohhhhh that makes sense. I misunderstood it. I thought it was you had to break the armor down, to be able to enchant it. Time to find some decent enchantments.
I use Dragonscale (light) armor. The defense rating with 5/5 in light armor is ridiculous enough (especially while blocking) to take almost no damage lol
So I had a few quetions for uptradig equipment and enchanting skill ups.
Is there anything higher then "Legendary"? I was reading somewhere you can continue to upgrade your items and they will stay legenday but it says I lack the skill. Anyway I can get smithing higher then 100?
And what do you guys recommend for Enchanting and Alchemy skill ups?
Fighting aludin.... he's taking no damage. I have him on the ground, bashing him with the dragonbane (i think that's what it's called) sword, along with another enchanted sword. I reloaded save 3 times (and got killed a few times as well). It is a bug, has anyone had this issue also that can tell me how to resolve? (PC version)
EDIT: Restarted the game completely, he's taking damage now. Hurrayyy
Anything and everything! You can join the dark brotherhood! Raise your ranks in the Companions! Join the Rebels/Empire's side for the war and claim victory! Explore every and all areas!
... Or just do what I did for the first 15 mins afterwards and stand on a roof top and snipe townspeople.

If you have the PS3 version of Skyrim and you're experiencing the frame-rate issue:
1- Go to Game Date Utility on the PS3.
2- Delete the Skyrim Game Data (the 4.3GB one. Don't have to delete the Patch file).
3- Go back to the game and wait till the Game Data installs itself again.
This will fix the frame-rate issue for a long while. The frame-rate will start to drop again after like 20-30hr's so just repeat the 3 steps above.
I got to 6MB(save file) and I started to experience this problem so I just deleted the Skyrim Game Data and that fixed the problem for me. 20ish hours (closer to 30hr) later, the frame-rate started to drop again so I re-did the 3 steps above and the frame-rate is good again (hopefully for another 20-30hrs).
So I had a few quetions for uptradig equipment and enchanting skill ups.

Legendary is just the modifier attached to it when you upgrade a piece of armor while having the relevant perk for it (as far as I could tell). You can't upgrade a piece of armor more than once. You can't get smithing higher than 100, but you can enchant ring/necklace/hands/body with a bonus to smithing (makes upgrading gear better), and you can brew potions that do the same.
For enchanting, if you are rich just go around the world buying filled soul gems (college at winterhold is great) and use them to enchant random pieces of gear until you hit 100. Another method is to get the black star first, enchant a weapon with soul trap, then go on a killing spree while recharging your weapon after every kill. Or you could take the long/cheap road and buy a bunch of unfilled petty/lesser gems, then go slaughter innocent animals to fill them.
For alchemy, I highly suggest leveling enchanting first. Alchemy skill ups are based on the value of the potion you make. So, you should first enchant a full set of alchemy+ gear (ring/necklace/head/gloves) and then find recipes which make high value potions. This process will make you ridiculously rich, assuming you sell all the useless potions you make. Some good recipes are:
giant's toe + glowing mushroom
bear claws + hanging moss + eye of sabre cat
glow dust + glowing mushroom + hanging moss
creep cluster + mora tapinella + scaly pholiata
Anything that has slow, paralyze, or invisible
The highest I got my crafting gear was +29% on each piece, and my best potions were 32% enchanting and 130% smithing. Can anyone confirm this is the highest?
edit: Also, there is an item "Notched Pickaxe" at the top of the throat of the world which increases smithing skill by 1. I found it after making all of my gear, so I'm not sure how much of an impact that has.
Yes you can upgrade it more than once, and no it's not necessarily about the perk.. Even without the perk for whatever set you're working on, if you have + smithing gear and/or a good blacksmith potion you can still hit legendary.
So far I've seen Flawless, Exquisite and Legendary, they're just grades to give you a rough estimate of how 'good' the gear is.
I had upgraded both my Ebony swords to legendary and then put an enchantment on them, I don't remember exact numbers, but they were at like 40 dmg or something, this was at 90 smithing. After I got smithing to 100, I went back and upgraded them again, they're still legendary but the damage climbed 5-7 points.
If I were to wear + smithing gear and drink a potion, I could probably upgrade them a third time.
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
