Certain enchantments will only work on certain pieces of gear though.
As in parts?(ie body, head, hands) or as in materials aswell? Meaning you can only get ex. HP increase on elvish gear or w/e.
Im assuming the former as Ive seen shops carring + damage% of weapons only on hands and on a few materials(steel, imperial and leather).
when I enchanted an item, the enchantment had to work on that piece of gear I was enchanting. IE Flame Dmg only on wpns and extra carrying weight on rings and body, head, feet, hand armor. thats the gist I got from it when it told me that one enchantment could not be used for a weapon
Ah I see. I'm on PS3, so it's square that expends your absorbed soul towards a shout. Which is kind of nice because you can horde your souls and spend them on shouts you deem worthy as you find them.
On another side note:
Found a black soul gem. What do?
I found one also, but it was filled with a grand soul. Im guessing its the soul gem higher tier than a grand. Hang on to it. Seem to be rare.
But yeah, a frost dragon attacked me in the middle of nowhere. No warning. Its 11pm at night, i cant see ***, im in the middle of the bush, blah. Annoying, but this is actually an epic fight due to the nature. Ha.
Black Soul gems are the only gems capable of holding "black" souls, or the souls of humans (men+mer). They're the same strength as Grand, just different "types" of souls.
There is a Unique Soul gem that can be a Black or Grand gem but can be reused over and over again. I took the Black Soul due to me being a *** lol.
The black star is easily more useful than the azura's star. Black souls are practically free (fast travel to bandit camp, kill 1 bandit). Azura's star requires you to still kill mammoths for a grand soul. The only benefit of Azura's is that you can store lower valued gems in it...but that's not really a benefit at all.

Different parts of the body gear, IIRC you can put +armor on the body and the hands, not the feet or head, you can put +elemental resistance on shield and feet, you can put +magicka (or regen magicka) on body and head, but not on shield, feet or hands... Etc.
From what I've seen you can't build a full set of any + gear, I haven't seen any enchantment that will go on body, head, feet, hands and shield.
Im going to screw around as lvl 1 Nord for a bit. It was either that or Wood Elf. I just hit 90 Enchanting, 100 Alchemy and 100 Smithing. Soooo, yeah, just going to screw around as a noob for a few. Im also not going to merit useless perks like i did on this character. Barter and pickpocket were hardly worth it. Im sitting on tons of potions worth 1k each for no reason and really cant sell them fast enough. I have no need for the money either right now.
Rul hin dwiin los mul, hin sil los staadnau. Unahzaal zin, beyn vulom!
As for number of locations, I think I've heard 235? Probably wrong though, not entirely sure if that counts unmarked locations or not also.
Have been finding it so hard to avoid doing mage's guild/dark bortherhood/thieves guild stuff on my Paladin, trying to save them for their respective character types :C

My Nord's name is Winter. It only seemed fitting.
I'm pretty much staying at level 5 until I know exactly what I want my character to be.
Also I killed that Krosis guy, jumped on a hill and shot arrows at him got a neat mask that gives Alchemy, Archery and something else +20%.
Hey, I'm having an issue with the carriages. I tried to hitch a ride from riftindale (might be a different name), it accepted my destination, climbed into the back and nothing happens, I was overloaded so emptied all my stuff, still won't work. I'm guessing its a glitch of some sort but wondering if anyone else is having same problem?
Has anyone else ended up putting stuff into a storage chest of some sort, noticing that you need something and then try to take something out and then accidentally hit the wrong hotkey (BECAUSE FOR SOME *** SHITEATING REASON THEY SWAP THEM AROUND FOR PUTTING IN AND TAKING OUT ITEMS ***) and take out 1800 pounds worth of equipment :D_

Me, all the damn time lol. Instead of just putting it all back I usually just load the most recent autosave because I'm too annoyed / lazy to deal with putting it all back xD
I keep having the bones of random dragons i killed follow me. They just drop out of the sky and load onto my screen. The very first dragon you kill has loaded for me in 4 different places with the weirdest one being in the middle of nowhere underwater. I actually kind of lol'd, but yeah....
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
