I don't know how to explain it. basically its like textures disappear but not completely. sort of like they've been ripped from the game, torn off, and left jagged. it happened once when i was south of Dawnstar. everything was very white, and animals were completely white with no skins or texture or anything.
then the same thing in a house in dawnstar but instead of white it was a greenish color. then tonight in the dwemer ruins it was blue. i'd screen cap it but i don't have anything to capture it with.
last time it happened i turned my ps3 off for an hour and it went back to normal. i'll see what it does tomorrow when i get a chance to play.
I've had it happen to me sometimes. Just restart the game, it's a memory issue.
As my levels build, so do the difficulty of even regular bandits and their resistance to magic and increase in health.
In this dilemma I find myself getting killed quite easily since I have a zero armor rating wearing clothes to aid my magic.
Is there a better way to defend myself aside from seeking out more efficient alteration protection spells?

Are you bringing an NPC along? Usually Lydia + a conjuration pet is enough to keep enemies off of me so I can just stand back and fire off magic from a safe distance.
Lol when i was creating my Breton (magic resistance+25% full time = amazing) i accidentally exited out the text screen for naming my character so now my name on this character is blank lol
console (tilde/squiggle key): showracemenu
Unless you're on console, then:
You know you're playing too much of this game when your room is freezing, and you think it's just enhancing the effect of the game while you run around in a blizzard.
>________>
I was starting to figure that being a psychosomatic component of the game's realism, because it's 70 degrees in here and I still get that chill!
Lydia died in a dungeon, thanks to some lame quest NPC shooting a fireball, making her attack the NPC, and then she got left behind and died to some trap cos she got KO'd while on it, ; ;
My Lydia died. As it won't come back, dead forever.
I could res her, but I don't really care. I also lost her body.
You can revive her if she dies? I left her at the hall in case I need her later becuase I was sure she'd die with me XD

Take a break from exploring and solely focus on enchantment. Get some decent light armor (elvan etc), upgrade it the best you can in smithing, put your good mage enchantments on it.
If you're on a PC you can hit the ` key to open the console, click on Lydia to target her, and type resurrect. It'll bring her back to life but she'll lose all the items you gave her.
In-game though, there's no way to bring her back. :<
To remove arrows (from your face/butt etc) store the arrows you have in your inventory, then grab them back.
This.
I think is has to do with being shot by a type of arrow you carry or have picked up. When a corpse has an arrow stuck in it there's a chance you'll be able 'recover' it and it gets put into the inventory of that npc/corpse. I figures this can happen to the player as well (works for npcs too so you can recover your follower's arrows and whatnot) and if you already have a stack of those arrows it gets added to the stack and never removed til you dump and pick up that stack. People who report them going away after a few hours is because they probably fired off all those arrows.
tl;dr the game thinks you're a corpse and has marked that arrow as 'recoverable' and added it to your inventory.
My lidi is a pile of goo. Some necromancer resurrected her and used her against me, I had no choice but to kill her! After I did, she just turned into goo. :(

It's a shame you can't store that Ice spell that impales you with a giant icicle. I had one lodged in my upper chest, and every I wnt in first-person mode, I could see the frost mist come off of it on my screen. Annoying.
For my female Nord berzerker character, I Favorited her main helmet, so that when I'm in town, or fighting easy enemies, I can fight without her helmet on. When things get serious, I just use the Favorites menu to quickly put her helmet on.
started a new character, Im a cat now, going thief and eventually assasin. was nice to steal the 20 dmg bow from the army barracks in whiterun early on lol
I know this won't apply to much, if anyone but beware of a small crevace in Graywinter Watch where you will become stuck if you fall in. As to why there is a sudden triangular dip that is to deep to jump out of and has no terrain to enable you to jump is beyond me.
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
