Not having gotten anywhere in the game yet...
deer are so hard to kill while they are moving <.>
not sure if it's from one of the perks but if ur using a bow to kill them try drawing an arrow then hold RMB, it zooms in and slows time down while ur stamina lasts, it's awesome at close range watching arrows hit people in the face.
I have a question about enchanting.
Is the potency of the effect you grant to a piece of armor or weapon solely based on your skill level, or does the "quality" of the armor or weapon or even level of soul in the gem affect the potency of your enchantment?

Potency is determined by skill level, perks, soul gem level (grand for highest), and any other modifiers (like a +enchanting potion). The quality of the gear you use makes no difference.
For anyone who's curious, the 100 skill enchanting perk (lets you add 2 enchantments) allows you to pick 2 enchantments instead of one, and still costs only 1 soul gem.
Wow just had a crazy glicth i guess, fighting a dragon in the marsh area and killed it but it hasnt given me it's soul reloaded and killed again and same thing and i have a total of 10 souls on me anyone know if its a glitch or if theres a quest to get more souls?
Ok.....how do i get enchantments can u buy them cause i dont want to run around and look for armor to disenchant.
If you just disenchant an item once, you know that enchantment for the rest of the game, so that's not an issue.
So basically if I find some awesome gear like 20% more damage or something I should desynth it and then can apply it to "any" piece of equipment?
Yeah pretty much but you will need a higher skill in enchantment and a good soul gem to get that 20% more damage or whatever effect,Cause i got carrying +25 off a item and i can only get +3 as of now till i level it up.

Some dragons won't give souls prob cause you already killed it before maybe? that's what happened to my dragon at Mistwatch (attempted 10+ times to get a soul and nothing)
I've spent more time chasing butterflies and picking flowers than anything. FML. This is no lie. Alchemy is my money maker. I hit 100 Smithing yesterday also. It was pretty *** easy if you're smart about it. It just requires some waiting and some travelling back and forth between towns.
Other than that, im totally rocking the bow. I hate how i mimic my FFXI play style, but it works best for me. The combination of Crit bonus from Sneak perk, Archery% gear, Fortify Archery potions, and the crit perks are just downright *** godly. Im rocking a Legendary Ebony for now at level 27.
My next thing to level is going to be enchanting. Im buying any full and empty soul gems i can find. Even putting like 5% Archery on a ring makes a difference right now.
But yeah, back to chasing butterflies and picking flowers.

Well that suck's but i guess if thats is what happened then maybe it's a good thing cause it did drop dragon bones and scale's so more money for me i guess.
So the world adapts to your level? Curious of the downfall to all the power crafting since it would leave combat skills behind. Any advice on which loot peeps think is a must have and should go for at the earliest? So much to do and so little time lol....

Chase butterflies; pick flowers. Seriously. And you're welcome.
Edit: 2 shotted by a Boethian Cultist or someshit. WTF.

Honestly I've just been running around with a Steel Battle Axe that I took off some bandit and steel armour I got from a bandit until I can craft that dragon equipment for some good light gear.
I try to loot all the bodies when I kill a bandit camp/explore an area, and even if I have to make a few trips to town to sell it to NPC it's a decent way to get some gold and level speech.

Well, even with the power levelling of crafting, you're still getting Magicka, Health, and/or Stamina, just lacking in some combat perks. So it's give and take. If you want to be an awesome crafter early on, you're going to lag behind in combat abilities. That's the trade off.

No wonder some of the fights I'm getting on seem to be getting a lot harder even though my combat skills haven't moved up that much..
I'm only on normal and some of the fights can be ridiculous <_< Have to spam potions, abilities and all kinds of stuff.

I read somewhere that whatever level you are when you enter a dungeon it gets locked in so if your level 10 all the mobs are too and if you leave and come back at level 20 there still level 10, So i guess there's some benefit's to looking for stuff at low levels,As for loot idk cause i have been running around to discover all the place's in skyrim im up to 147 location's.
I don't know if someone write it so far and i dont feel like going through 55 pages, but it's possible to craft dragon armor in ligh AND heavy armor class. The deadric set is better on the heavy armor side but dragon one is so much more easy to get... I think it worth it while working on the deadic items.

Yes there is Light and Heavy Dragon Armor,i use Heavy Dragon Armor cause its pimp looking and easier to get than Daedric.
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
