Hmm, just got smithing to 100 and made dragonplate armor. Need about 15-20 scales and 10-15 bones for the whole set.

That includes the upgrades. You need them to upgrade at the workbench as well.

I got catapulted by a giant the first time too.

I frikkin' love stumbling my way into the Dark Brotherhood like I did.

I just go on insane campaigns across the countryside and come out with phat lewt (or usually more than I can carry in one trip). Raid dweomer places for the metal. I'm level 17 or 18 but me and Lydia are both decked in dweomer armor and weapons and it makes her pretty damn hard to kill because she submits and enemies break off before she's actually in any danger, so unless she's standing in fire or something...

Leading a dragon to somewhere it will land so you can beat on it is probably the only tricky part.

+1 to buying a house just so you can dump your dragon parts in it.

I prefer when dragons are in the air. My archery is pretty good.

A bug: Alto wine counts as quest items and I can't remove them from my inventory.

Wow, sounds like you guys are way ahead of me. I haven't even started to skill up smithing or any kind of craft. Or even gotten that far in the quest lines. ):

Well found a new bug I guess.

I was to investigate the Bard College, I went so far as to even become a Bard and it's still there. The quest indicator is over the V-dudes head but I can only ask him two things, both of which I've done numerous times.

I'm no where near 100 on smithing, I'm like 31 or so.. I've mostly just been taking all the leather, hides, ingots, ore, and gems I can find and saving them up at my house, I went from like 20 something to 31 in one swoop of spamming my mats.

Funny fact: Dragonbone smithing requires level 100 and has less stats than the daedric set, which requires 90 smithing.

i've been trying not to steal too much in the cities on this playthrough.

also i found 2 master lock chests one in each of 2 different silver hand dungeons. my lockpicking is only like 24 though so i didnt have a chance in hell to pick it ; ;

my highest skill is 35 one-handed, im lvl 7 so far.
my main weapons are skyforge sword/ancient nord sword of cold and im using fine leather body/hands/feet (made myself) with a fine whiterun guard's helmet.

let me tell you, ancient nord and silver hand dungeons are awesome for straight gold. the silver hands carry like 10-60 gold each

Luckily I have a save before it happened but I hate that I'm going to lose that dragon fight. I have trouble taking them out on my own so I was excited when I got to fight him with someone else. But alas...

I think I have a grasp on what happened. She was done with the tour, the next thing she does is tell me to talk to someone else. So...I'm guessing the dragon attacked at practically the same moment that she ends her part of the quest and she registered as done but the quest didn't...or something like that. I mean...if that dragon had attacked two seconds later I probably would've been okay.

I just hope I don't get screwed over by something like that in the future. I remember in Oblivion I couldn't finish the story line because one of the npcs outside Bruma, I think, when you're doing those quests where you have to get support from the cities...wouldn't give me the quest. He just stood there and would never move.

Yeah it is my first ES game.

And O: sounds neat! I'll have to look them up.

And it seems every time I finish a quest it branches off into 3 more and there's so much running. D:

I have a feeling this game is going to eat a lot of hours from my life.

Good thing school ends for the semester in a few weeks.

Also,

trying to figure out why I weigh 200lbs+ which makes it almost impossible to loot efficiently(which is my only source of income).

Dump stuff like ingot/leather at your home. Also the little things make up for a lot of needless weight. Check your books, useless clutter etc.
