I'm still yet to really encounter bugs.. The only bug I've found yet, was a cauldron killed me. It was in a corner and when I moved into the corner it made the sound like it was moving, but it wasn't and I was dropping health fast.
Okay wth ; ; I was minding my own business when I walked upon a giant and a dragon fighting, I decided to take advantage of the situation and help him kill the dragon, I never touched him, there's no way I hurt him I was using arrows and was shooting from the dragon's side near his hind legs, anyways, we kill the dragon and what do I get for my troubles? *** sends me flying into the air.
I thought the giants were supposed to be passive until they're provoked in some way?
Getting Near them count as provocation i think. They can spot you but if you mind your distance, they wont trouble you. So far that was they have done with me anyways.

Hmm, I found a Giant and circled around him a few times with no aggro. Then I saved and proceeded to burn his *** into oblivion (get it?). All I got was a toe.

I got close to one on my way to winterhold and it hitted me. Didnt do anything against it so inono.

It's weird though, from my fight with one it seems that unless the Giant gets a direct hit on you it deals no damage. One direct hit, though, and you go flying through the air... never to return to solid ground (because you "die" before coming down :D).
If you're fast enough you can do well against a giant.
Simply strafing left and right will avoid any hits. It seems like it should be a glitch but my screen gets bloody like it does when you get hit but I lose no life.
Are all the companions as squishy as Lydia? Or is it just because you get her so early on that she's so weak? When I was level 5 or so it was fine, anything that would kill her would probably kill me long before her, but now I can't take her with me anywhere really.. She gets killed.
Skyrim vampire cure mission problem-help?

hollebac...
This happened to me, and I had to start over because I played the game 10 hours straight. So... yeah.
You could call up the technical issues phone line of bethesda and complain to get it patched like I did.

Oh, they've just told me basically that you're born into the bloodline.. There's even a thing where it says something like "Hold on, you mean I'm going to become a werewolf?" and the dude says no.
Where is the den and what's it called? I'd like to avoid it. I have a habit of going in dark caves looking for treasure

Yeah, just go a little bit further in their questline and they should "initiate you". As for the den, I meant dens, really. I can't tell which ones, but they're kinda obvious. Watch out for weird cave names and don't run in wildly, sneak and check what names the mobs have. And if you find out they're vampires leave, or if you get bit anyways load up since it autosaved at your entry.
First of all, Love Love Love the game, good graphics enjoying the gameplay and quests too.
The only problem Im having right now is on the retrieval mission for the companions, I need to get a fragment of wuuthrad, from Faldar's Tooth, but the cursor tells me its inside/on top of the tower, ive cleared the whole dungeon and cant for the life of me figure out what to do now/ how to get inside or on the tower, that was about 20 hours of gameplay ago lol just ended up doing other stuff, but I would like to get back to it if anyone can offer any assistance.
Ya'll must have some messed up versions of the game, or I'm just lagging behind horribly. I haven't encountered any bugs beyond just minor animation glitches, but that's almost expected of games now. I'm loving it so far, and was totally worth the 60 bucks :D

Found this while Googling to try and spark my memory of where it was/how to find it.
From the very south side of the fort, along the water you should see that part of the wall has collapsed. Small iron gate just to the right of this hole. You may have to pick lock. Enter, climb steps on left side Go straight up out of steps. Hug the wall on your left hand side. Go down stairs, enter doorway on your left. Climb the stairs within this battlement and then you can head straight for the big tower. There ya go.
Maybe that will help? My memory sucks D: I can't even remember what dungeon place it was in, I've explored so many.
Okay I just went to this small encampment outside of Whiterun, and the giants were automatically aggressive. I thought they were passive as long as you didn't piss them off or their mammoths? I ran like hell to avoid being flung 100 feet into the air.
Also I managed to find a solitary mammoth to finish that merchant quest.
Just took lots of dancing around this hilltop and even more arrows.

=/ They're either not automatically just passive or there's a bug in their behavior.
It was kind of funny. I walked up to him thinking maybe he'd talk or something. Kind of a "hey, how's it goin?" then the music changed and he slammed his club into the ground and I ran like a pussy >_>
At any rate. I'm off to kill that redguard assassin leader dude to help that one lady in town.
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
