Not sure why Joystiq gave Skyrim 100 when they said the combats mechanics did not improve much and it's still only mindless meleeing.
But whatever I'm sure despite the overrated hype it's a great game.
100%, 10/10, 5/5, etc does not mean "Perfect", it simply means Best in its class.
Art can't be perfect, that's its nature.
There's a lot wrong with Skyrim, but what it does right are exponential in number of what it does wrong. Where games like Zelda, Uncharted, Gears of War 3 all just do between one and five things well, and few things tangibly wrong, the economy of scale will always favor Skyrim or any Elder Scrolls game really. For every one failure it has, it has twelve successes.
-Stiff NPC's that lack emotes.
-Questionable Friendly AI
-Overwhelming to the point of flaw.
-Bugs
It doesn't matter, for every one of those I can list three games worth of top-notch quality features. Elder Scrolls games always have a reach exceeding their grasp, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
