my companion decided to kneel down in front of me again and the arrow just magically fell down to him when I shot.
I'll walk back to town slowly this time Faendal, not restarting just to revive you again!
Are all companions this lame :\ thinking of not even using them. At the moment all they are good for is carrying junk and dying when they aren't even in the line of fire.
The best companion that I have found is the ghostly assassin dude you get from the Dark Brotherhood...
you dont have to be afraid to kill him, because he respawns in 1 day if he does die and though he can get lost he's a ghost and I've seen him run through walls and climb up holes in the ground >3 so I dont have to wait for him!
I've been in a dungeon and before opening a door, summoned him and he runs through the closed door into the next room and murders things before I get there.
Downsides are that he doesnt carry things and he talks in the middle of cutscenes....and all the time...
other than that..Marcurio in Riften(!? I think) is a mage and he's pretty good. He stands in the background and kills things so he doesnt get in the way. He does have an attitude though.
The college quest where the magic ice monsters are attacking winterhold was aweful. My shadowmere was supertanking all 10 monsters and then I'm trying not to hurt the 2 friendly npcs (whom I assumed where immortal until I hit them in the knee like everything else).
I just stopped using companions all together...I'm a dual wielder and an archer and I kept accidentally hitting them....the breaking point was really how I'd be travelling through the country side exploring and my companion gets lost somewhere and I have no idea if they're dead or not. I wish I could atleast see an hp bar on the screen to know they're still alive or at the very most put a dot that represents them on the map!
Also Lydia the stupid idiot. I was trying to level my sneak on Hadvar and I left her outside..she ofcourse manages to run inside and massacre everybody.
Resetting the game for stupid reasons is so annoying when the loading screens take so long.
Favorite quest line so far was probably the Dark Brotherhood even though I felt guilty throughout the whole entire thing. I have empathy for virtual characters, that I cant even steal gold from family houses...but I totally murdered people for the brotherhood...only because I like doing quests.
Favorite quest so far was probably the Wabbajack one just because of the Mad Hatter type reference.
Sheogorath is the main character from Oblivion post-apotheosis, just like he should be if you played The Shivering Isles. Lots of references in his dialogue.
My favorite place for enchanting and alchemy now is the Arch-mage's quarters. There's a barrel right next to the alchemy table, and the chest isn't too far from the enchanting table either.
If you buy the house in Windhiden (dont know if i spelled it right) is has a nice two story setup with three mannequins for armor, weapon racks for trophy weapons last but not least, secret door down stairs with alchemy and enchanting area.

That's what I was using before, but I don't like having to travel so far to store enchanting related items.
Soooo legate rikke refuses to talk to me during 'regain the pale'. I captured the couriers message but refuses to give me thr next quest. Guess i wont be stopping the civil war :| thats all kinds of irritating.
Went and finished the dragonborn stuff. Sovngarde was cool.
The 2-hander in the battle vid i want it! Kick *** vid btw and the snk vid is pretty funny. I'm thinking of starting over on Skyrim and that battle vid makes me want to even more.
If I have any luck at the learning curve of the CK, I plan on making a huge battle between Stormcloacks and Imperials. I want to do it 2 ways: 1. You pick (and can continue swapping as you die) a soldier on either side and fight Troy style. 2. You can be your Hero and help a side by slaughtering the other.
I would suppose you could always start as a soldier and then bring your Dovahkin in later to sway the tides as well.
EDIT: The field W/NW of Whiterun. Hundreds of soldiers of varying ability.
Haha. I popped Skyrim in today for the first time in 2 months. While trying to learn my buttons again, I accidentally shot some "student " who wanted me to put a ward up right in the heart with my bow and ended up having to reload from my auto-save.
There's a magical device called a printer, which is said to make real what was once merely a stream of data flowing through the aether of the internet. To gain such a device, you must bring about $20-$30 of treasure (or a check) the the mystical land of Best Buy. Good luck adventurer, and may your quest end in victory!
I would go with you, but I took an arrow to the knee.
FYI, I'm totally going to come up with cards for this and trade it out the next time my family plays Monopoly.
Finally binged and purged on Skyrim. Last night I got my main character to Level 81, with ALL skills at 100. I completely ran out of things to kill. Found myself chasing down bunnies and farmers to finish off Archery.
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
