yea, smithing and speech were the first i 100'd, speech is tedious, but the second time around i finished it much faster. im like 79 enchanting now, and my one handed is 80, i keep forgetting to change from atronach stone though lol.
most of the skills i use regularly are 50+ though, and im lvl 40 atm
I wear like a total of weilding + 70 so I don't have trouble taking enemies down.
Also I carry a second set of gear that puts my bow at +111% dmg.
If they survive that sneak attack snipe they usually die trying to run to me.
i've been waiting til i get enchanting at 100 and perked to really enchant my stuff, so atm the only enchant i have is soultrap on one sword, and the dragonbane sword that i use for dragons. i also use a few of the dragon priest masks. and for bartering i have the entire left side of speech perked

Oh same, my dragonscale mail is sitting in my chest at home waiting.
For now I've just made some smithing +80ish and alch +80. Managed to get my weps and Nightingale/shrouded armor pretty decked.
thats what im using, dragonscale, i have full legendary dragonscale and legendary ebony sword and bow, im one perk away from having all of smithing unlocked.
im nearly done with one handed too, just need to finish leveling it, and then i have block and enchanting and light armor..
I've leveled most of my sneak skill almost purely through sneak attacking draugr, while most of my combat skills I leveled (including destruction) by attacking Shadowmere. It never runs away or goes on the offensive, it just stands there; which coupled with it's incredibly high health regen you have an almost infinite hp "enemy".
For destruction, I dual-wielded one of the spray spells, believe I did "Flames", and just had two streams constantly hitting him, which never actually hurt him.
For one-handed, two-handed, etc. I used a crappy un-improved Iron weapon and never power attacked, as well as taking off any gear than increases that skills damage. Elemental Fury really helped here. ^.^
Oh btw, make sure you have your companion well out of the way of any spells. xD

Not my fault they made a horse that gives you it's undying loyalty no matter what. :P It's still having to attack something, just you don't have to go searching for enemies that die in one hit. xD
To me, Shadowmere is nothing more than a tool that's meant to be used to it's fullest extent. Hell, I don't even use him as a mount anymore. I can sprint for longer distances than he can and run almost as fast (yay light armor + wind walker + extra stamina/stamina regen).
I found a decent place to sell stuff, since I went to some dungeon and got so many ebony pieces. Windhelm is really nice. You can sell armor/weapons to the blacksmith and two of the stands by the blacksmith. Also I believe they had a general store too. Other stand you can sell potions, and they have an alchemist shop to sell your potions too. It helped me finally sell off most of my junk lol

i was reading up on skyrim and I decided to read some amazon reviews first. this is where I came to learn about all of the ps3 related glitches, lag, among other problems that may never even be fixable. simply because the ps3 hardware had sort of a HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE philosophy around its design when it comes to its way processing memory. So I was wondering if this game is playable on a ps3, or does it just make you incredibly furious?
Well there's your problem right there.
Don't hesitate on buying the game.
Despite the lag, crashes, and bugginess, it doesn't diminish how amazing or fun the game is. Frustrating at times yes, but by no means does it stop me from enjoying the game.
If you're truly hesitant about it, wait til 1.3 comes out for the 360 & PS3.
It was simply the first thing I did (check amazon), not nearly the last. I wanted to ask someone whos actually played/playing on a ps3. Although it sounds like i should go with PC anyway.
damnit, i guess i wont be leveling my restoration the cheap way, if you do the main quest 'the throat of the world' it permanently removes the ice storms

Do the College of Winterhold, get the Equilibrium spell, put that in one hand and put the Healing spell in the other.
Equilibrium drains your HP to give you MP, Healing does the exact opposite, they cancel each other out and give you constant Restoration skill.
Simply go there, choose skyrim in the list (it's down in the "T's"), and run any scripts it asks you to run.
My PC only goes about 1/2 way between minimum and recommended and I can run it on Medium-High settings at a decent fps. All that's really holding me back is my processor on meeting recommended (lolDualCore).
Just finished what you're supposed to do in Blackreach for the main quest (won't spoil it) and I must say.... IT'S THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE IN THE GAME (imo), and dear god is it HUGE! I spent at least three hours in there just exploring, mining, and collecting "things".
Anyone else having issues with the PS3 conveniently deleting or overwriting your hard save files upon use of other saves?
Thank the Gods for auto-save or else my level 31 guy would have been gone forever :/
/comfort. Who knows auto-save may have saved your character, but it could also be causing the problem in some weird-***-doesn't-make-sense kind of way.
You use it to replace one of three different sets of armor with the Eisenplatte Armor Set from Final Fantasy XI! There are two different sets. The normal, white-coloured version, and a more elaborate, darker version (the one in the screenshots is the latter).

Am I the only one with only one character still? Currently at 157 hours playtime on him and level 67.
Yeah I went to go play on another character I had for a change of pace and gameplay style, and I went to go hard save and noticed the one for my main guy was just vanished. In a panicked state, I opened the the auto save that happened to be sitting there under his name.

are you sure you're not just selecting the wrong one? it can be hard to tell one from another when theyre all usually labeled SKYRIM unless you wait for the other info to pop up.
i did that once, but now i double check to make sure its the right one

Positive. I had a hard save of my original level 31 dude. Go to play other guy, hit save and notice his file is just GONE.
I managed to keep it down to 3 characters now, but it's really easy to notice something went wrong when it went it showed 2 files instead of 3 >___________>
I installed that 2k texture mod and enhanced night sky which makes the game look so much better. Also installed those crafting mods so I can actually make Nightingale armor good lol, screw the enchants you get in the game.
For Urial, here's Nightingale next to the Prime mod:
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
