Some issues on the console may be fixed by turning off auto-save. Something about the constant writing to the save file can cause your game to lag down. Though turning it off is a risk in itself if you don't save often. I'd try it with just dicking around before doing anything you don't want to lose.
So if you use a bow as a secondary to sword/shield, and keep said bow on hotkey, hot key to bow, then hit the same hotkey again so it switches back to sword/shield, any enchantments on your shield are no longer counted. Made a shield with double mres to break 85%, kept getting 30.0 mres in console from perks. Manually taking off the shield and putting it back on brought my mres to 88.00 in console. Yes a bad death was the cause of finding this :s
Hiding in a corner of the Bannered Mare is an easy way to level sneak, but this bard is driving me nuts.
Screw this, I'm going to Solitude.
They have a hot bard.

So I played Skyrim on the Xbox (Mage Level 40). I decided to try it out on the PC and damn. PC blows it away. Loading times cut in half, controls, graphics are better, instant saves. I am stating the obvious here I know. If you are on a console, check out the PC version if you have a decent PC for your next character.

I have a feeling my machine can handle it well. I should find someone to borrow it from and see if I like the feel of my Logitech Controller with it hooked up to the big screen.
You get it towards the end of the thieves guild line.
Edit: IDK the mod but honestly it looks the same as usual.
The male characters with full muscle wearing this look like trucks. When I get in the shape I want, I'm having a seamstress build me this set, but changing the boots up to look a bit manlier. I would totally rock this for Halloween and the other 364 days of the year.
@Urial; Ah, Okay I just kinda started that one, trying to the 50 other quests I had picked up for random people first...lol.
Yeah I was like I'm gonna do dark brotherhood quest line first!
Then I saw this armor and I dropped everything until I got it.
Haven't done the quest after yet because the one time I tried xbox froze.
Gonna save that for after the next patch.

anyone wanna donate $2000 to me? :<
Wouldn't cost 2k.
You could pull it off for much less.
Not maxing it of course.
less than 2k in a laptop? thats what i need for school and i doubt 2k would cover a laptop and a desktop (if things go badly and i have to replace my current laptop
also i forgot to post what i originally came here for,
started the stormcloaks questline, its so incredibly easy =/ i've already done half of the liberations, and thats with losing 2 holds in the negotiations during the main quest.
I'm sure there's been a race discussion before now, but I don't want to go back and look~
So, I've made a Bosmer, Altmer, Nord and Orc. And I must say, Altmer's and Orc's racial powers are god mode. What's your favorite race, and why?

Well you already know my opinion! Dark Elf because of the Destruction skill base, it's such a freaking slow skill to level, huge advantage to have it 10 points higher as a mage.
I'm running on max fine with a i5 2600k and Geforce 560Ti. Those two items are about $400. I think someone posted about an AMD build with integrated graphics that can get great numbers for the $. I don't remember what it was called.

"Hmmm I should play Skyrim.
/look at my TV, notice I'm in a corner leveling sneak with my controller rigged where it's been the past hour.
How did I forget that?
I'm sitting RIGHT next to it on the PC.

i still need to do that, but i cant get it to set up right, i tend to suck at sneaking =/
i'm nearly done with enchanting though, and restoration shouldnt take too long. i also found an easy trick for conjuration on my mage
cast raise zombie on a corpse and then kill it, pretty much every kill gives you a skillup
also you can repeatedly cast soultrap on a corpse, but that can get really tedious
I just got 94, and lemme tell you how long each level is taking now :/ even with a rest boost and thieves stone active.
After this imma go talk to the guy in the black briar meadery for my last 30 speechcraft then I may go get my last 17 levels of enchanting. honestly enchanting makes good money.
Make a ton of Iron daggers.
Go buy every soul gem yuo can get your hands on.
Make Iron daggers with stamina damage.
Then again I have 35% barter prices from gear and tend to deal with female shop keeps as to get a better price with my speech perks.
>_>
Manipulate the market like whoaaaaaaaaaa.
Edit: I'm glad I have good armor and all because if not I'm pretty sure I'd get ragged seeing as I'm about to hit 40 and most of my main comat skills are only in the 50's.
yea, smithing and speech were the first i 100'd, speech is tedious, but the second time around i finished it much faster. im like 79 enchanting now, and my one handed is 80, i keep forgetting to change from atronach stone though lol.
most of the skills i use regularly are 50+ though, and im lvl 40 atm
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
