Am I the only one who does pretty much everything on my first playthrough? I've done Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, Companions, College, most sidequests etc :x Also leveled up Alchemy/Smithing/Enchanting to 100 with all necessary perks for the really strong armor.

I did cheat my alchemy up though because even with 30% bonus exp 1138 enchant potions only gave me like 5-6 levels lol. *** that >_> Consoled the exp for that and then 15ish levels of enchanting to max that >_>
i was reading up on skyrim and I decided to read some amazon reviews first. this is where I came to learn about all of the ps3 related glitches, lag, among other problems that may never even be fixable. simply because the ps3 hardware had sort of a HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE philosophy around its design when it comes to its way processing memory. So I was wondering if this game is playable on a ps3, or does it just make you incredibly furious?

Only major thing I have left to finish on my main is the college. Just a touch boring when I can 1 shot dragons with a two handed spin attack (I guess that's really 3 shot? but one attack) and I am only level 54.

Is that on master?
Yar, oddly enough there are 2 things that will rape my face off, bears and lightning mages. I never leave home without some resist lightning pots.

So you're making a Felix the friendly monk char?
Not quite as restricted as Felix. I mostly use conjuration to kill things.

Well there's your problem right there.
Don't hesitate on buying the game.
Despite the lag, crashes, and bugginess, it doesn't diminish how amazing or fun the game is. Frustrating at times yes, but by no means does it stop me from enjoying the game.
If you're truly hesitant about it, wait til 1.3 comes out for the 360 & PS3.

Plays quite well for me. It does glitch on occasion, but usually only when you use the wait feature (a lot), so just save before you wait.
It is actually quite amazing on ps3. Graphics are pretty awesome.

It's playable to a point on my first toon it took until my save file was around 12 meg in size before the game started to get out of hand. I started over at level 1 on Master and so far perfect game play lol. Except for the fact without all my super HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE gear the game is way more challenging lol. Can't just sneak one shot draugr with an arrow to the knee and man 2 hnders bum rushing ya can hurt lol.

I got my platinum trophy on my first play through, ended with 140 ish hours, all crafts and combat skills at 100, 270 ish locations found and well over 200 quests completed as well as all story and guild type quests. i feel a need to explore all the things on first play. Although i have since read that there is in the region of 350 locations so still some to find.

I did too, till my main storyline Q was broken and wasted all those hours for something I could never complete :|

I've got a bit on some zoning out of buildings in towns. It clears up within 10 secs. 1.3 is supposed to fix what 1.2 screwed up, and it should be out soon. Aside from that, the game is as flawless and engaging as any I've ever seen. Love it. Wish I could live it.
I play on 360, only get a little lag once in a great while, and all I have to do is Wait 1 in-game hour, zone out, or just give it a second to catch up to itself. It's froze on me 3 times, but that's total since launch. I've had many, many other games freeze more often than that.
Otherwise, I just get some of the normal bugs all platforms get; some weapon racks don't work sometimes, can't upgrade certain weapons(nord hero bow, supple ancient nord bow), things like that. All in all it's been a pretty smooth ride compared to the horror stories other people have been having. My friends also play on 360 (1 plays on PS3) and haven't had any game-breaking crashes or glitches so far.
On the console it seems to be tied to the size of your save file my game played flawless until about 10 meg and at 13 meg would lock hard so I restarted a toon and flawless play again...
I wonder if had to do with all the junk I kept keeping in my houses. I had over 1 million gold worth of items easily I bet on my main over 100+ dragon bones and 100+ dragon scales lol. I had one barrel so full the game would lag about 20-30 seconds to store an item and when I did a take all it weighed well over 6000 lbs doh lol.
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
