Ok, so I have a question. Dual wielding weapons. I don't get how it is better. You don't have a double attack without it being a power attack. The only advantage I see is your swings are faster with the perks but its still only 1 hand at a time. If you alternate the weapons on which you attack with, you still do not get any extra attacks in versus swinging with one at a time over and over.

Am I dumb and missing something here?
It totally looks cooler?
Yeah IDK.
I only consider it beneficial with perks.
Once you get the perks, you decrease time between swings tremendously. Although you are only swinging with one weapon at a time, you can swing one of your weapons way more often than you could 1h+shield or 1h+magic
Welp time to go to Markarth with this character to get the thieves guild quest done.
I'm not even gonna try to sneak through this time.
FIGHT ALL THE GUARDS!
Ok so I am not crazy...just for the record it should read, increases one weapon attack speed if holding onto another weapon.
That doesn't make sense or even seem like its doing what its suppose to. There should be a way to attack with both at once for double the damage and the perks increase that speed, not so much one at a time speed.
On a side note, if you have lets say the +25% crit rate dagger on off hand does that give the effect to the main hand? Doubt it but worth a shot.
(something about holding 2 swords and /der only swinging with one of them)
i got to the top of world, when you learn who is the true leader of greaybeards and...it crash lol
can't even finish speech before game crash each time...guess wind is too much to handle for my pc w
so i'm tryin to reduce and reduce game until i find one who can finish without crash...when i can make it work at 1900 "high" supposly lolz..
Also what sucks is Elemental Fury doesn't work with enchanted weapons. Which is something you'd want to do on almost any character unless you're intentionally specializing on Alchemy over Enchanting for the sake of poisons and whatnot.

oh yea i raged when i found that out. i only ever used it for major bosses though, like dragon priests and death lords, nothing else has ever really given me issue.
i usually try to stun lock them with shield bash and swing inbetween the shield strikes

You can swing both weapons without power attacking...just click both mouse buttons at the same time.

basically duel wield 1hnd is the highest dps you can get. Next is 2 hnd and then 1 hnd. You sacrifice defense for kill speed simple enough. Great perks for it as well. Way way back in this thread this was discussed.
I just love the double sword kill animations the best myself lol. The scissor move decapitation is the bomb.

My kill animations are few and far between. It annoys me how exact you have to be with the sneaky dagger kill. Also there needs to be more mutilation, if I hack a guys arm off, I want to see it flying across the room. Oblivion had heads getting shot off by arrors, I think. That used to entertain me for a good bit of time.

Need more perks lol with dagger and sneak and a power attack I can always guaranty a kill animation from behind hehehe. Basically it seems to require a critical hit that would kill the person. Also note only certain mobs can give the coolest animations mostly people lol.
The key is sneak behind to pickpocket range and power attack almost should always get an animation kill.
Oh good lord that was *** scary. Went into Markarth to finish some quest, and some dude asks me to check out this abandoned house. I won't spoil it, but I had to turn off my sound, lol
I don't plan on enchanting any weapons. I don't want to be THAT over powered, nor do I want to have to bother with refilling them.
It can be pretty useful to have things like paralyze or shock damage enchanted on one of your weapons. Besides, charging isn't a big deal. I usually just buy a few charged gems which will last me days upon days of regular use, and if you wanna do it yourself just get a soul trap weapon on the side and have Azura's Star.
But typically a legendary weapon with elemental fury is more than enough to be OP than even remotely needing enchants.

Even then, you can't be moving, they can't be sitting down/laying down, etc...
I have no issue killing them with 1 hit, and as long as they aren't moving, and I am not moving and they are standing there not doing anything then it will happen. I just think it needs to be more versatile and more dismemberment.

I am always moving so never had a problem with that and you won't get it if they are sitting or sleeping but you can almost any other time especially if you use a power attack. Love it when lydia's tanking and come in for the kill shot. Best one was against Ulfrics number one he pulled up to fight I raced over and did a 360 decapitation it was awesome. I sneak in front for the double weapon decap not sure why you can't tho lol. PS3 controller ftw lol...

My wife was like, "REALLY!?" As if she doesn't have enough problems sleeping through the night.

I was digging through Calcelmo's chambers and went to power attack a guard when Lydia killed him the instant before I released. Wonderful animation of me bashing Lydia's head in with a mace...
Hah, I did that abandoned house quest in Mak. at like 3am with surround sound headphones and it was like 50 degrees in my room at the time which just added to the atmosphere of the house. Was very creeped out during that quest.

And hello quicksave load.
I done that so many times it isn't funny especially to the followers in dungeons I have killed that way makes me laugh to think about it. Opps did I do that......
/put on barter + gear
/buy items to make a glass bow and upgrade it once
/put on smithing + gear
/make bows and improve their quality
/sell for over double what I paid for parts
While at work today, I work as a floor supervisor for a local grocery store, this scenario played out:
Drop dead gorgeous young woman comes through the check lane with her mother. Mother has a bottle of wine, the cashier is underage, I get called over to ring up the alcohol. The mother couldn't find her I.D., and I told her I wouldn't be able to sell the wine.
The mother looked at her daughter and said, "Do you have your I.D. and can at least buy the wine?"
Daughter looked at her mom, then me, and said, "I used to help my mom out with this kind of stuff, until I took an arrow to the knee."
I stood there, speechless, for a second, and she quickly said, "Sorry, videogame thing..."
This time I let out a weak smile, and replied "Fus Ro Dah!"
She acted as though she was going to be knocked over the next check lane.
Still couldn't sell the mother the wine, but I got the daughter's number. Go figure, videogames are actually helping my social life.

Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
