The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Unless he's got like some Nasa super-computer..

I mean.. The amount of processing power it'd take to make something look 100% real.. It would require a massive amount of detail. As detail goes up so does the load, the more load, the more "PC" you need.

It's not like it'd be just watching a video, the computer would have to create everything.

This work machine I'm on has 12 cores, if there's a consumer machine that could try this would be a start.


I know technology doesn't allow for that yet, it was a pipe dream.

I would pay $15 to watch a 3d full length movie of Skyrim, however.

I may have read it but forgot, may have missed it, or it may not even have been covered yet, but I sure hope stores restock their inventory once you loot them in Skyrim.

GIS editing, and I'm part of IT, so we have the best of the best just because we are running so much crap all the time.

Is 12 cores probably over-kill? Yes
We got a great deal though so can't complain.

There's actually only 5 primary cities. Whiterun, Solitude, Windhelm, Markarth and Riften. Those cities are all around the size of The Imperial City from Oblivion, and are (Unfortunately) Loaded in separate cells. (Transition from outer worldspace through a loading screen into the city) Whiterun, Skyrim's largest city is said to be quite a bit larger than the Imperial City though, in terms of game space.

The other cities are much smaller (Though still around the size of Bruma-Cheydinhal in Oblivion), but only transition in certain cases, so most of them will be exterior cells like the cities in Morrowind.

Then there's the smallest towns and settlements, like Riverwood, which are all exterior cells (Except for the interior of buildings of course) and around the size of Balmora or Suran from Morrowind.

visiting solitude will be badass. i will be highly disappoint if there isnt some quest on finding the wolfqueen's treasure or something of the sort.

Ya I only looked into it myself 'cause it's a really minor thing that's sort of a usual of the series now and was inevitable. Some *** tried to trick me into looking at a video of actual spoilerific gameplay and I almost cut his head in two with a lawnmower blade.

Id suggest not looking at Ingrahams spoiler then......because that would really ruin the experience for you, and your pants.

I've only watched official bethesda stuff.
