For anyone having the Markarth guard glitch simply open the console and click the guard and type in "paycrimegold" and you can go around Markarth as usual, as long as you don't get a bounty. If you do they'll glitch again.

Solved mine by telling them to hand over Markarth at the peace treaty meeting. Had no aggro since and managed to finish my Oblivion Walker that way.
So, what kinds of potions/poisons do all of you use? Do you make your own? Do you only use what you find at merchants/exploring Skyrim? Do you even use potions and/or poisons? Let's see 'em!
I use others too, such as Fortify Destruction, Fortify Archery, etc. If anyone has any stronger healing potions, please post recipe (not counting ultimate health potions).

There are some quests you can't do when the guards keep glitching and won't stop attacking you if you're a stormcloak.
so i've been doing the main storyline to get it over with since i heard that some other quest lines can make it harder to do the main quest (like the civil war faction quests).
i got to the part where you speak with parthurnaax and
i felt so bad for him, he loves to chat with people but no one ever comes to visit him, and he's a really kind dragon too. I also felt bad about killing so many dragons and then wearing full dragonscale armor when speaking to him ; ;
also theres a really nice katana that rivals ebony sword (before any enchanting). i wasnt able to disenchant it, but it has a really nifty enchantment, so i have it favorited for certain situations.
also i learned that you pretty much have to join the college no matter what, to progress in the main quests
So I got this game a few weeks back but due to timing and circumstance was only finally able to start yesterday. I have a question for all of you who are further along in the game but in order to frame it maybe I should explain what I think of the game first.
You ever go see a movie and know right away that it will receive critical acclaim and tons of awards? You may like the movie and be impressed with the bold innovative new things it has done to deserve the awards, but you'll probably watch it once and move on. By contrast you have movies like Monty Python and the holy grail which will receive no critical acclaim or awards but are so damned enjoyable that you know you'll watch it a million times because it's just that awesome. Well I feel like Skyrim is like the former: it HAS done some innovative and bold new things which are simply breath taking, but I can't help but notice a few obstacles that stand between me and my unimpeded enjoyment of the game.
This game is so cool that I really WANT to like it. So my question is this: do the little things that seem to be pain in the *** fade away as you get used to the game? For example the movement system seems designed for a PC (I play on ps3) do you ever get used to it enough that it doesn't bother you any more?

idk. im still not use to it... i hate that u stop running when u turn a lil wrong... it seems so blocky... after playing dark souls you feel like this game has a gimp sword/shield system...idk the game is fun.. but after you play other games it makes this one seem less... im personally hoping that kingdom of amular is better. seems like it will be.
My biggest issue is the health increase with Master. When I shoot someone 15 times with a bow who is shirtless.. it kind of breaks the immersion for me. My current play through is as a Thief / Ranger. I spend enough time crafting arrows as it is >.< And mages still 3shot me.
Somehow I've missed crafting arrows, how does this happen?

When I first started playing it, it took me so long to get out of the first city because I couldn't get used to it and was kind of disappoint that I spent $60 on it at first. But I swear after a little bit it becomes pretty natural and I feel so awkward when I'd occasionally log onto FFXI because I was so used to skyrim lol. Kept spamming triangle for jump and stuff :( etc
Oh and I play in 3rd person because the first person view feel doesn't do it for me, everyone calls me weird and that nobody plays in 3rd :'<

I like 3rd person more on consoles but 1st person on PC >_>

It's a mod for PC that lets you break down items and craft arrows.
Ack... mods... too lazy for those so I guess I'll just do the exploit that is listed on the arrow wiki page for lots of arrows.
Is the exploit picking up arrows from dead bodies? Because I have over 1,000 arrows just from that, and I use them constantly.
Or you could, you know, buy them from a store?
I've heard of some weird stuff but having to exploit to get arrows? ARROWS? Blows my mind.
I'm not high enough level yet to have enough Daedric arrows to shoot them fulltime... Anyone at any level can spam shitty iron arrows but who wants to shoot garbage?
If you're having problems with arrows, there's a light exploit for unlimited arrows.
Basically, have a follower who uses bows, if you give them at least 5 arrows of whatever quality, they don't seem to run out, and any arrows you recover from the field that they shot, are essentially conjured from the ether. This also works if you're fighting an enemy archer with good arrows, simply put yourself against a hard surface and dodge his arrows. It takes some time, which is why I call it a "Light" exploit.
Give one daedric arrow to a guard in solitude, enter a house, wait until the next days morning. Come outside, watch the guard spam daedric arrows into the target. Remove them when no more seem to stack visually. Repeat until you have enough arrows.
Not when I'm trying to kill a dragon and it starts to fly randomly up into space backwards >< and then when I finally do kill them, it ends up having a seizure and disappears and no soul to absorb. Also hate when it gets stuck in a loop and I go to do a quest and my game freezes up every 5 seconds like zone lag on xi.
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
