I use most of those. It's goddamn amazing how well smaller ones like Blocky faces/Detailed from Xenius change it. Still have yet to try snowflakes, smoke and embers, realistic water [probably next], and enhanced night.
Yeah, Xenius is the ***. And you should really try those, realistic water and enhanced night are two of my favorites.
I killed the "good death" orc in front of some Imperials. Oh boy... They were mad. Luckily killing them removed my bounty!
No witnesses no bounty lol.
At least Solitude house comes with Jordis lol. A Jordis and Lydia sandwich with a side of Eola yes please lol....
I have well over 100k without a pc console cheat and houses in whiterun and solitude, alchemy makes tons of septims....
There's a glitch with the mannequins in my Solitude house(haven't tried it on my other houses yet) where it keeps duplicating whatever body and head armor you put on it every time you enter the house. Go go ebony armor and infinite gold, lol.
Sort of sucks I can't proudly display the Stormcloak general's bearskin armor I claimed, but at least ebony is nice to look at when I'm full up on gold. Helps off-set the ridiculous cost of that house.
I read about that giltch haven't messed with it. I hope they fix the displaying of armor on them soon. My armor displays like 1 out 20 times I enter the house the rest of the time its body is invisible with a floating head lol.
Yeah, I like the way my game looks, so I'm just going to leave it like it is for now. Eventually a lot of these seperate little mods will be "combined" into 1 large overhaul mod, I'm sure. I'll probably just wait on that before I do anything else.
Anyone had any glitches/bugs with bookshelves? I'm a bit of a collector of skill books and such, where I'll take any book that seems interesting and all skill books and store them on the bookshelves in my houses (just filled every bookcase in the fully upgraded Proudspire Manor). Anyway, as I was filling the last bookshelf, when I closed out the menu all the books on the shelf disappeared and now I can't even use that bookshelf. The tooltip or w/e comes up telling me how to use the shelf but no matter what I do I can't interact with it. It was my main skill bookshelf too, every book on the shelf was a skill book I had found. Now they are all gone. >.<
Also, for anyone trying to purchase Proudspire Manor, here is what the wiki says.
wiki said:
To purchase the home, the player must first complete a miscellaneous quest for Elisif the Fair. Upon completion she will permit you to purchase the house from Falk Firebeard for 25,000 gold. Ownership of this home is required to become a Thane of Solitude.
A miscellaneous quest given to the player after The Man Who Cried Wolf; gives access to Proudspire Manor. Shows that Elisif is somewhat still worshipping Talos even though it is banned by the Imperial Legion.
1. Talk to Falk Firebeard in the Blue Palace in Solitude.
2. Travel to Wolfskull cave.
3. Take care of the Necromancers within.
4. Return to Falk Firebeard.
What did everyone allegiance with? I had to become an imperial because I couldn't progress through the main quest until I finished joining the imperials, so I had to be one :\ I really didn't like any of them, they both seem like dbags to me

The way I see it, the imperials were pretty much forced into doing what they did by the Thalmor. The Stormcloaks want to fight back against the Thalmor instead of getting taken over. Niether side WANTS the Thalmor, but they end up fighting eachother based on their way of dealing with the Thalmor.
I sided with the Stormcloaks, simply because I hate the idea of submitting to the Thalmor's demands.

Oh, I guess that makes a little more sense to me then, I didn't know the imperials let them Thalmor step all over them. I always thought the stormcloaks were kind of in the wrong because they shouldn't focus on civil war when they should be joining up to get rid of the Thalmor
I don't really think it's a spoiler, but
What demands did you give on the main storyline quest? I kicked that Thalmor chick out, let ulfric keep Markarth, gave Riften to the imperials(Tul was pissed about that) and I think I gave them Solitude too? Imperials were so pissed at me :|

I sided with the Imperials because most of the Stormcloaks didn't address me with respect or in a nice way. Most of the Imperial Guards seemed somewhat nice to me. Also, it seemed like the Imperials had more money and better stuff. Each groups disposition toward me could have had something to do with me being a Redguard instead of a Nord. Oh, and Ulfric Stormcloak thought he was "hot ***" when he's really nothing more than an insignificant speck of dirt compared to you (your character). :P
As a note, I've only just finished "A Blade in the Dark" and haven't started "Diplomatic Immunity" yet. So nothing pertaining to the main story influenced my decision. Yay for being level 52 and just started the main story xD.

I'm doing both(different characters), just finished the Imperial storyline over the weekend. At first I was all about joining the Stormcloaks when I first got the game(I've always played Nords since Morrowind), but once I actually spent some time in the game, most of the Stormcloaks come off as bigoted, isolationist a-holes. The Imperials are surprisingly polite, and all about unifying them empire and ending the unnecessary violence. The Stormcloaks hate anyone who is not a Nord.
I'll get around to finishing the Stormcloak storyline maybe this weekend. But honestly, after getting a few missions in, really seeing their draconian way of thinking and bigotry, I'm not real pumped to get back to it.

So I've had a weird bug happen to me on both of my characters.
At the beggining of the game, after leaving Helgen. I went to Riverwood (Withalvar on one char, and Ralof on the other), and got the quest to talk to the Jarl of Whiterun. So then I decided to screw around a bit. I did the "love triangle" quest there in Riverwood. After that I headed back towards Helgen and hunted for some hides, and cleared the mine outside of town for some iron ore.
Anyways, after clearing the mine, I proceed to head back to Riverwood. As I start getting near the town I begin to see someone falling from the sky. Walked into town and there Faendal(sp?), the wood elf is laying in the middle of town, dead.
This has happened on both of my characters. The first time I had helped Faendal in the quest, and as soon as I walk up to his dead body a Courier walks up and gives me a "will" and 300 gold saying it was left to me by him. But the second time around, I helped Sven, and no gold for me after he fell to his death :(
i dunno, but i always have the worst experience with npc traveling with me.
they r stupid. they get stuck behind a tree or don't follow me or wont cross a river. I had one npc stuck in a clear area with no obstructions and he wouldn't move. so i hit him and then he dies. he then proceeds to run into a giant camp and is clubbed to death.
Just had a weird glitch, transformed into a werewolf while block and when I changed I still had a sword in my hand. When I hit someone the game switched to first person view and I froze up. Ended up taking a few arrows in the knee (and other areas) and died. Weird.
If so, do tell actually. I've been constantly modding mine out and I like to compare or get other peoples' feedback on what works and what I might of not tried~
I use (in no particular order)
Enhanced Night Skyrim
Skyrim HD (HD retexture)
Realistic Water
High Quality eyes
Detailed Faces
Enhanced Blood Textures
FFXA PPI (With a more "realistic" shader injection)
Realistic Smoke and Embers
Detailed Bodies
No More Blocky Faces
Skyrim Sunglare
Nicer Snoflakes
Armor Improvement (high res retexture)
Clothes Improvement
Also .ini file tweaks. Ultra settings.
All I can think of off the top of my head, that pretty much covers it though.
Game looks *** gorgeous.
I use most of those. It's goddamn amazing how well smaller ones like Blocky faces/Detailed from Xenius change it.
Still have yet to try snowflakes, smoke and embers, realistic water [probably next], and enhanced night.
so if i were to make a rig from newegg that can play skyrim with these mods how much would it cost roughly?

I used to be a sword wielding werewolf, until I took an arrow in the knee.

I built mine for about 2k almost a year and a half ago, so cheaper than that I would imagine.

Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
