Started a new game as a cat guy last night after beating the main quest at lvl 58 on my dark elf.
night eye does not help me see at night time at all... I could see it helping possibly if you arent playing on ultra settings, but it just basically has the same effect as the "Become Ethereal" shout, but makes the screen color change last 120 sec instead of 20 seconds lol. Granted it doesn't make you invincible XD but seems like kind of a wasted special ability.
This isn't the best example, but this is one of the few uses I have found for it - Peering into dark corners/areas
I personally like the night eye. It does make it quite a bit easier to see in low light conditions and is far less intrusive than Oblivion's horrible night eye filter.
bump, my reply was left at the bottom of the last page. anyone know when they will fix this 0 resistance to fire breath? if you read my spoiler you will know why its upsetting lol ; ;

there is no official fix, have to wait until 1.3 next week. there is a mod though, Skyrim Script Extender (will be required for advanced mods) that comes bundled with a fix for resistances however.

Its 90 and he's a master trainer, is that where they cut you off?
Yes it is. No matter what the skill is, you have to either level from 90-100 "manually" or use the books.
Ah, I see. I usually don't use trainers. I used them heavily for Alchemy, though, since it was taking forever to level. Probably paid for 20-25 levels of it.
But now I'm done with alchemy and am ready to make my ultimate gear but I realized I'm missing the final perk for enchanting...so I need to get to level 50 really fast.
All my major skills are 100 pretty much, One-handed 90, Light Armor 100, Alchemy 100, Enchanting 100, Smithing 100, and thats all I use pretty much.
Is there another skill that I could level legitimately fairly quickly so I can get from Level 49 1/3 to 50?
One-handed doesn't go up fast enough. I tried using a virgin iron dagger on giants and stuff but it doesn't seem to go up at all then, wondering if it has something to do with the damage you deal and not how many swings you take...
Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated.
P.S. I killed Farengar by mistake, where's the next best place to buy filled soul gems?
Throw on heavy armor, and get smacked by a couple enemies for a while, meanwhile restoring yourself.
Find some wolves or something. Something that doesn't hurt to much if you just chill there.
Gunna try this out. Rerolling the blacksmith until I can get a full set of some decent heavy armor. (I dont have the perks to make any of the good ***since I was only interested in light armor.) Then I'll make it Flawless or whatever then go out.
Also, why are "Hired Thugs" following me around? They're not attacking me. They're just up my ***.
I accidentally killed that Argonian jewel seller in Riften while chasing down some thieves, and got a letter of inheritance. At first I was wtfing, thinking I had no family and that sort of thing... But yeah. Oops. :x Reloaded last auto-save file lol
It's like that on almost every video, half the viewers raging at the comments, the other half wondering what's with 10-50 comments per video about arrows in the knee...
Anyone know if i can get rid of the guard aggro in Markarth, doesnt matter if i kill them all and get rid of all the witnesses or if i go to jail, every time i re-enter the zone they are on my case again, no real hardship having to kill half a dozen guards each time but it gets kind of... LEAVE ME ALONE BULLIES!! if you know what i mean. D:

Illusion, Alteration, and Conjuration all level up extremely quickly if you use the right spells. Muffle, xxxhide/paralyze, and Soul trap respectively.
i have never been attacked or questioned just for having my weapon drawn usually just get the "A guard might get nervous blah blah" but no, i dont enter a town with my weapon out.
Unless I'm completely ignorant to the spells available in every school of magic, but I noticed there's absolutely no "feather" spell. I'm somewhat disappointed about that. Alteration should at least have an adept or expert spell of the sort to give you +200 encumbrance points, or something.
Leave the town, come back in 3-4 days, should reset it. You'll still have to pay whatever bounty you have, but they shouldn't attack on sight by then.
Already tried that, didnt work, still get aggro from them.
This may be a silly/obvious question, but did you try putting your weapons away in front of a guard? That's how you're supposed to surrender.
Yes i know this, my weapon being drawn is nothing to do with the issue, i can enter town butt naked and still get grief from them, if i go to jail i still have them give me grief when i go back, i have no outstanding bounty, there is no reason they should be approaching me.

Sadly, it's restricted to potions or enchantments :(

I'm having the same problem :X If you haven't been to jail and talked to Madanach yet then that might be it (though I'm still having trouble after that)

I have completed that quest line.
No idea then, I'm having the same problem and I need to see the steward for a quest @_@

Doing the "Special Quest" for the thieves guild in markarth now, hopefully wont need to come back here much after this is done.
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
