I've skilled crafts on 2 characters so far, and this is how I did it:
1. Spam smithing to 100 using leather bracers and/or iron daggers (this should leave you with about 400 things you can enchant later)
2. Buy up all the empty petty/lesser soul gems you can find. You will need several hundred for 15-100 enchanting.
3. Travel the world on foot while collecting alchemy materials and soul trapping every animal you can find (I chose to follow rivers, as mudcrabs are quite plentiful).
4. Enchant all of those bracers/daggers and sell them. Repeat 2-4 until 100 enchanting.
5. Make a full set of alchemy+ gear, and start making potions with all of those materials you've saved up. Focus on recipes with high values (invisible/paralyze/slow, potions with multiple effects, look at the wiki page for alchemy).
6. Sell potions at Alchemy shops while buying up all of the ingredients (you should make profit pretty easily). Repeat 5-6 until 100 Alchemy.

Only problem with this is, before any sales are made, you've invested a ton of coin. (You'd either had to have adventured quite a bit before hand or done the entire thieves guild questline.
I hear conjuration is fun, and seems to go well with destruction path aswell.
Yeah, for pure damage I'm having a lot of fun with Conjuration pets raping stuff while I do Destruction spells. If there's lots of enemies (or a dragon is being a ***) I've been known to spam Restoration cures and/or wards on myself while my pets and NPC take care of everything. >.>
I have conjuration to 100 with the perk that allows two pets out at once.
When I don't feel like dealing with an enemy, I just conjure two Lord's and they proceed to kill everything while talking ***.
I totally do the same thing. They rape everything.
if you level up, but dont select an attribute to level up (hp stamina or mp) like if you dont even go to the skill screen when you level up,
can you keep leveling up a craft without gaining an actual character level on top of it?
Yes, you can even get more levels without choosing to level up, then you can level up several times at once.
kk thankyou.
recently i was spamming smithing and got like 2 character levels and was worried because i didnt want my actual fighting skills to be gimped for my level
Ugh, I must have some unknown disease. My archery skill is showing up red and there's nothing listed in my current effects on my magic listing.
Hopefully sleeping will fix it for now but if not I'm gonna be a little on the screwed side.
It will get fixed when you level archery up again. Known glitch.
It's for your Housecarl, Lydia. At least that was my assumption.
As far as i know my lydia is dead. I lost her and havent seen her in prob over 20 game hours.
Is there a way to track her body or something? lol ><
Not to my knowledge, at least not on a console. Not like finding her body matters after she's already dead. :x
It does if you're on PC.. You can resurrect her.
I suppose I should have said something like that in the post, but my point still stands. I just hate the idea of using the console on PC to do anything like that unless it's seriously needed to progress a quest or something. Unless just messing around. XP
i tried using a scroll of blizzard to cast the spell and whenever i do it i end up in the blizzard and die lol.
Sounds like you're using scrolls instead of spells. Learn the spell from a book, then you can select your magic for your hands in your menu the same way as weapons.
Just killed a Blood Dragon with 2 pew pew shots on Master.
Did I win the game yet?
well since your a mage let me ask you a question:
i tried using a scroll of blizzard to cast the spell and whenever i do it i end up in the blizzard and die lol.
I tried aiming it further away and it still hit me.
Am i suppose to aim it at the sky or something? lol
fyi:
I am a sword and shield character with alteration and healing magic only
so i know little about destruction
Im a Ranger type actually. I only use Restorations healing traits and Alterations magic resist, which fyi, is god damn godly. Im Breton and have a natural 50%, i use 23% in gear, and 30% off perks. I dont take damage from mages, and Ancient dragons may take 1/5 of my health off at most on Master. I had 5 perks saved and screwed around with conjuration for a bit, and that was pretty awesome also.
I was hoping to do a Destruction path on this character, but id rather use my last few perks else where. We'll see what happens. I may blow my next few perks on the Shock path for Destruction. I get 100+ potency off potions, so im pretty sure ***will be easy prey. I ll let you know in a few.

I had this problem too, I thought Lydia ran off somewhere, after like a day of fast traveling, I didn't see her. After that I kinda freaked out because I thought she died in a dragonraid awhile back, but a friend told me after like 72 game hours, she gets bored and eventually 1) Goes to your house or 2) Chills up in dragonsreach, or I guess 3) She's dead >.> I eventually found her in dragonsreach, lol. So I guess keep waiting and rezoning to see if she's dead or not, and if she doesn't show I guess get the dogs and start looking!

I don't do Master lvl, or have +100% potions. But i'm a destruction mage. Dual Wield, thunderbolt is my favorite. Dual Wield stun perk keeps most mobs stunned and unable to approach me.
For dragons, i just dragonrend spam and keep them stunned with my dual wield spells. Only time i eat breath is when they are flying and i don't have them on the ground.
I decided to ditch the whole mage archer thing. Skill ups were really slow, and my imperial was rather vulnerable once compromised, plus it was a real drag having to run out of a dungeon for each and every sneak arrow I fired that did underwhelming damage.
Thank the Gods Bethesda doesn't let (most) NPCs run out of zones to chase you like they did in Oblivion.
Gonna make a legitimate bow and arrow, dagger throat slitter assassin Bosmer. Goodbye Zelda, hello Majora! >:3
so anyone know where i can find skill+ gear to disenchant? looking for smithing, enchanting, one-handed, light armor, and blocking mainly
my alchemy is going slow as hell =/
i have smithing 100 and enchanting 51, but my alchemy is only 25 still
The smith in Riften just had a gilded armor mail suit with +20 light armor on it (lv 32). He also had 2 separate +block elvan shields. Might be a good place to look. I found a necklace w/ +smithing on it (somewhere lol) and +one-handed on gloves in Whiterun.

Its random, I found 80% of my enchants in Whiterun.
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
