Well I took the initiative and leveled smithing like mad. Got to level 12 and already have myself crafted a set of Orcish Armor and Flawless enhancements. Problem is it's heavy as hell and makes my carrying capacity rather limited. I should probably focus on getting heavy armor leveled so it doesn't weigh me down.
Just food for thought, if you plan to do any leveling/perks/involvement in enchanting, and decide to get double enchants, you could use 4 of the extras slots for carry weight, thus allowing you to carry even daedric set without being over-weighed.
This allows you to skip the perk(if you werent going to get it outside of that)and unlike the perk being bound to full sets, the carry weight enchantments can be used with any gear(light or heavy) that you apply it to.
I been playing this entire time using the steed stone perk lmao just discovered a way your companion can carry tons of ***:
just tell them I need you to do something and they will pick up everything you click on infinite storage, a super pack mule.
Ugh I just dropped a ton of dragon bones and scales and she picked them up but they not ion her inventory careful on this glitch ><;;
If you select your Soul Gem, then select a weapon enchant (like absorb health) then select>deselect>reselect a Fortify enchant and then select a weapon you can enchant fortify on a weapon.
I got the enchants to do alchemy but wasn't able to make any stronger potions is smithing special? Well guess I will make a few more daggers and try smithing with notched Pickaxe as well and see if that does work.
I was just scrolling through my weapons in combat and noticed that one of my forged and enchanted weapons have a green symbol in the box where the name is displayed.. Any ideas what this is?
Anybody know where Farkas goes after doing some of the companion missions? I wanna train Heavy Armor, but I cant find him. I remember seeing him randomly walk up on my ***, and assisting, during an out-in-the-middle-of-effin-nowhere bandit fight, but other then that I have /no/ idea where this man is at D:.
Also, anyone know if theres any other Heavy Armor trainers? @_@
I am to lazy to read all 118 pgs to see it anyone else has experienced this glitch. When i encounter dragons they land on the ground and look at me and dont attack, so i shoot them with my bow and when there health gets to 10% then they start fighting back. Must be some kind of glitch. Its pretty funny actually, they just sit there with a blank look as i fill them with arrows. Just wondered if anyone else had this happen.
This happened to me twice when I was trying to sneak up on a dragons nest with my horse, they just kept staring at me until I dismounted the horse >.> I guess he's not a horse murderer
Anyone get the spell Dead Thrall yet?
I'm curious if it'll work on things other than people despite it's description.
If you can revive snow bears, wolves and sabre cats, I am totally making a magic hunter type with bound bow and a pet to hunt with me :o

Only works on humans, the best spell you can get to create an animal pet is only obtainable using PC console commands as far as I know :/ it's called reanimate spell and with duration perk and dual casting it'll revive something for 13mins, and when the duration ends it doesn't turn to ash it just dies again, so you can keep reviving it.
I use it with my ranger type bosmer char with an ice wolf.
Okay heres one for ya the falmer helmet is glitched first place on the falmer helmet then on volsung mask then place on daedric helm you keep both helms on time to farm and enchant me some falmer helms....

/sigh
Another reason I need PC version.
Oh well, some dreams weren't meant to be, at least not officially >:3
But yeah, really need to do a reanimate command via console and arrow smithing mods to make the most out of my Ranger/Hunter build :D
By the way, is there a reliable, even if exploitive method of obtaining a steady stream of arrows? It seems lame to be an archer and simply have to "hope" you find them off other archer bandits.
Part of the reason I'm considering just using Bound Bow and going with Mystic Binding perk. It may not be as powerful as an improved Daedric Bow with enchants, but damn it I can have infinite arrows and pretty respectable damage with infinite soul trap effect (not that it'd do me any good if I didn't have an enchanted weapon to begin with).
Here the scope go to say solitude or any place where an archer is doing target practice pick up arrows from the target. Now if your pickpocketing is high you can place an single arrow and viola infinite arrows of that type. Some times buggy but it does work spend a day watching em shoot and collect arrows its also easy septims lol.
Well as long as weaponry and armor scale with bad guys as you level, there shouldn't be a problem stumbling upon random respawned archer bandits right? If that can give me a respectable supply of Ebony arrows, then I shouldn't need to camp the archery range all day.
Getting cheap arrows isnt bad getting the good ones however is an issue for sure....
Yeah, I think desynthing and arrow smithing should have been something implemented in the official version of the game, but alas, we'll have to settle for what Bethesda deems fit or otherwise simply go PC.
Also what would be nice is to have an enchanting perk of sorts that lets you disenchant pieces of gear without eliminating the piece itself.
Nightingale armor is absolutely stunning in appearance and isn't half bad as far as enchant bonuses go, but some pieces are rather useless in comparison to what you can create with your own enchantments on base gear. A shame there isn't any high tier light armor that is akin in appearance to Nightingale. It's always something bulky and heavy looking.
Unfortunately they kinda failed with making things scale to player level. I'm 66 atm and while "ultimate" tier potions and half decent armor occasionally spawn in dungeons/chests, the bandits guarding them are still wearing fur, using iron weapons, and iron arrows.
I really wish there was a much bigger variety of things to fight. Feels like it's all bandits, forsworn, draugr and dragons.
'Cause that's all their is. That's my major concern with Skyrim, there's not very many species of enemy in the game, some with palette swaps for higher level varieties.
Humans (Bandits, Forsworn, etc.)
Draugr
Skeletons (only one type ._.)
Lich (Dragon priests only afaik)
Dremora (Dark elves with red face paint and horns)
Flame Atronach
Ice Atronach
Storm Atronach
Hagravens
Saber Cats
Bears
Horkers (I've yet to see any of these myself tbh)
Mudcrabs (Ironically these have the most variable amount of actual models, a staggering 4 different types)
Slaughterfish
Dragons
Giants
Mammoths
Skeevers
Wolves
Dwarven Centurion
Dwarven Spheroid
Dwarven Spider
Falmer
Chaurus
Spider
Ice Wraith
Spriggan
Wisp
Trolls
That said, it's a large improvement over Oblivion's veritable bevy of 5 different monster types, but it's still rather annoying that none of the more creative Daedra are involved.
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
