One annoying thing I'm noticing today...if you don't put perks into speechcraft Bethesda makes it hell for you to make any money.
I'm leveling enchanting but I end up with all these daggers that I can npc for ~700 septims each. Too bad none of the vendors have more than 1100 at any given time.
So I sell them to these three people in Whiterun then wait 48 hours, repeat. Its getting really old, really fast. I feel like the vendors should have either unlimited gold or at the very least as much as the highest item they're selling. 1000 is way too low.
so I just used the elder scroll at the throat of the world, went back in time, watched the 3 kill 1 dragon and then they talked and one said auduin comes but theres just dragons flying around for like 10 minutes now i think its *** up..................................... this is annoying
Oooooh. My friend just laid out a new challenge to me once I finish this playthrough. We are still hammering out some of the rules but the basis is that you have to make it as realistic as you can.
Some rules we have so far:
1) No enchantments.
2) No magic.
3) No shouting.
4) No fast travel.
5) You must to the best of your ability, sleep at least 4 hours a day.
6) No sleeping for more than 10 hours a day.
7) You must eat 3 times a day.
8) No waiting for more than 1 hour (standing 10 hours in front of a store for it to open is silly)
9) If you break a law and get caught you must go to jail.
10) Potions are restricted to healing potions only, no resist, no stat bonuses. (Poisons are still allowed)
11) If a follower dies in battle, you are not allowed to reload a save to revive them.
We are still working on it and hammering out some more, if you guys have any suggestions feel free and I'll see about adding them ^^
Add exceptions for Shouts/Magics, as some quests require their use.
A few rules I may use:
1. Master
2. No save abuse. Break 30 picks on that lock? Tough luck.
3. Have a proper meal each day. Salmon with potatoes and some ale, for example. Wait 1 hour, after all, it's nice to sit and chat with the locals.
4. Invest in perks that represent my character's growth, such as that smooth-talking Bard or quick-fingered Thief (Speech and Pickpocket, respectively)
5. Limited Fast Travel: Carriages and short distances
Edit: @Fondue: I had that bug. I just ended up reloading and it worked just fine.

Anyone agree?
Do the thieve's guild quests. Fence's have 4k gold and there are two of them that I can think of. One in the den and one in Windhelm.

reload your save or restart the game, happened to me multiple times during that CS and battle afterwards

Yeah, I'm on the last thieves guild quest, was hoarding the skeleton key, lol.
Gunna use up the rest of my money making enchanted daggers, then do that last quest before I start npc'ing this lot.
From what I read online it basically just affects some ending cutscenes, as long as you had him help you meditate the 3 shouts then go ahead and off him.
The main one of the game? After beating him have I technically beaten the game? I got some cool stuff sure with the new shouts but was just kinda left at the top of the mountain thinking, hmmm what now? I guess I can go pick a side for the war finally now that I pissed both sides off during negotiations, but seems kinda disappointing if that weak *** dragon was the final boss so to speak.

Alduin was the major threat to the world, and the main focus of the game. I agree that it kind of leaves you hanging wondering "what's next?". One thing that kind of bothers me is that I thought after Alduin was defeated, the dragons in general would stop attacking towns and such (or even become subservient to you, like odahviing).
Are there any plans to release DLC for Skyrim? I wont be able to get it for awhile so just curious if I should wait out for GOTY editions with all the extras..

Some credits or something woulda been nice, I read one post on wikia about a final set of cutscenes during credits so I dunno what I have to do to trigger that, but I feel like I haven't really beaten the game, which doesn't bode well for my GPA.
Yeah but there are a lot of games like that, and still have credits at some point with a sort of continue on option after. I was just hoping for a "get back to life" checkpoint I guess XD

I'm kinda in the same boat here... Two characters, main quest and all guild side quests done between the two of them. Perhaps I just ran through everything to quickly... Oh well, guess I can start messing with console commands now to make god breaking ***.

This does not exist. You are stuck in this game forever.

Well technically the credits are at the beginning lol, so I doubt youll ever see them in the game after doing everything.
Well I took the initiative and leveled smithing like mad.
Got to level 12 and already have myself crafted a set of Orcish Armor and Flawless enhancements. Problem is it's heavy as hell and makes my carrying capacity rather limited. I should probably focus on getting heavy armor leveled so it doesn't weigh me down.

Just food for thought, if you plan to do any leveling/perks/involvement in enchanting, and decide to get double enchants, you could use 4 of the extras slots for carry weight, thus allowing you to carry even daedric set without being over-weighed.
This allows you to skip the perk(if you werent going to get it outside of that)and unlike the perk being bound to full sets, the carry weight enchantments can be used with any gear(light or heavy) that you apply it to.
Is anyone having trouble casting Conjuration Pets? Even with Crosshair white my summons fails and its getting annoying. More so when I picked that perks that allows you to summon them twice as far away.

Dunno if there is a mod for companions yet, but it really anoying when lydia keeps stepping on those traps and almost getting me killed all the time. Plus hard to get around her in tight tunnels. Can't count the numbers i got stuck in a corner because of here lol. But i kinda need a tank cause i'm a pure archer wearing light armor and some things just kill my HP's. Oh and she gives me away when i'm sneaking.
Any mods out there yet that gets rid of some of that for companions?
Oh i did see one that makes um a God :) its a start

Picking a couple primary/secondary skills and limiting the number of perks you can spend in a tree based off that might make for an interesting additon.

No carrying around like 500 arrows. Or excessive amounts of armor/weapons for that matter.
I am to lazy to read all 118 pgs to see it anyone else has experienced this glitch. When i encounter dragons they land on the ground and look at me and dont attack, so i shoot them with my bow and when there health gets to 10% then they start fighting back. Must be some kind of glitch. Its pretty funny actually, they just sit there with a blank look as i fill them with arrows. Just wondered if anyone else had this happen.
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
