Bah been attempting to Dl the update for the last 3 hours. When I finally get past the POL-1161 Error code, and start DL'n it stops the timer and sits @ unknown for 15 min. Good ole 360...

Ok I downloaded one of these rar files and extracted them to my Final Fantasy XI folder. I did a file check and it didn't find any problems yet when I try to update it's telling me I still have to download 2000 files >.>
Any tips? 2 files left! ><

May as well give up tonight, just I was quite impressed with the last update I was on like 2-3mins after the time maint ended. And I remember there being no emergency maint for at least the rest of the evening I was playing. I've had to "Download the latest version's update information" 5 times now.

It's bad timing right now to update, Japan is waking up and US is just getting off work.

Yeah, I've been getting hung up on this all afternoon.... started around 3pm EST it's gonna be hell now at 6:21pm EST everyone getting home from work and what not... Arrrgh MIGHT make it on somtime tomorrow... Ha I tried the link to update the files, did it exactly as stated, but now (and only sometimes) when I try to finish the update (like 10 files) I got a message "Problems with HDD data were deteced. Version update failed". Love it. Did my ffxi just get screwed up? It may also be worth noting the times it tells me this are random too, sometimes before/after checking files, sometimes before the actual dl starts/stops, etc.

Good ole 360... Not limited to xbox. I'm getting a update that just stops and goes nowhere a lot. (Everytime ive tried to dl it so far actually, like 20?) And I was able to get half the files. About my previously reported problem: I hit repair files several times until it finally connected. The repair file process went through after a couple attempts and I was able to log in without a hitch.
I have a theory... now bear with me... What if SE, in all of it's putrid glory, made these updates hard to get for their own amusement... Only they'd intentionally throttle back their bandwidth and see how many people try to download this patch. Kinda like a turn on for them... Hmmm...
So do I just copy the files to my clipboard and then "Paste" over the the other ones?
