Absolutely not.

Spharai will not beat an EQUALLY GEARED/SKILLED player in damage nor tanking.

Counter a little something capped a hard cap. You can reach the hard cap in Rev fists, so in comparison the Spharai would have the same counter rate, not an increased one.

Spharai are only better than Rev Fists+2 outside of abyssea.

Spharai do have amazing DoT, yes, but I don't know the last time you checked the DD potential of Victory Smite. You'd have to make up the difference between your average fury and your average smite on every trip to 100 tp.

In case you were wondering, the hard cap is 80%(perfect counter excluded), which is then checked by accuracy (95%), so acc included, your max actual non perfect countered counter rate is going to be .95 x .8 = 76%, which is not hard to get w/ rev fists+2.

Pants have +2 str on them, going to get anwig with +4 str +15 ws acc +4 agi +2% ws dmg and maybe a beir belt if I can find one. Sometimes I use thew bomblet instead of tantra, not sure which i prefer to be honest.

Waiting on a buddy so we can finish CoP together for rajas, and about to finish upgrading body to +2, otherwise I'm pretty content.

A good friend of mine and I did pretty much all of CoP together, so I'm going to wait for him to be free before I complete it.

After I get anwig I'm considering full time thew bomblet for ammo slot, what do you think?

That's basically what I do, except for Dragua, where my acc isn't auto capped.

I might've missed it somewhere in this thread and I apologize but, how about thunder belt over black belt and aias bonnet over anwig? Also, str + earring or say, aesir?

BB > elemental belt

Anwig with STR+4 WACC+15 AGI+4 WSDMG+2% > bonnet

STR+ earring > aesir

This holds true if your attack isn't atrociously low, which it shouldn't be. Wouldn't worry to much about the earring slot though to be honest, its marginal.

This is what im using for smite atm. Only thing I can think of changing is my attack earring for a STR earring.

Oh and the 10+STR pants when I get find people who need cerb for their mythic trial when servers are back up.

Change out the belt to a beir+1 swap out kemas to aesir ear pendant unless you find your accuracy totally diving. Work on an anwig salade if you have the means otherwise stick with what you have all in all the set works for your smaller selection of gear to draw from. This is assuming of course your inside of abyssea your needs will most likely change outside.

Ele belt loses here because Smite is a high FTP ws. The higher the FTP, the lower your gain.

Smite has 2.4 ftp for the first hit, and 1 ftp for the last 3, with .1 from belt

5.6 vs 5.5

5.6/5.5 = 1.82% increase

All credit goes to Tiger for this info, I am just repeating it here. His full post and more information on the STR vs. ele belt discussion can be found on page 2 of this thread.

Also, it's worth mentioning that each hit from a DA or TA proc adds 1.0 ftp.

So w/ 18% TA rate (epona and apocalypse atma), you'll see a TA proc common enough and at that point it'd be

7.6/7.5 = 1.3% increase

Two TA procs

9.6/9.5 = 1.05% increase

You know, I never thought of this but it makes perfect sense.

Disregarding the fact this is a smite build thread and not a smite thread itself, what are some of your higher smite numbers Tiger? I am rather curious.

Without a brew, nothing ground breaking, but I'm always doing things w/ the minimum number of people, so I never have anything like minuet or chaos roll.

I did 8k once on a NM (don't remember which one, but wasn't one of the ones that take extra damage), other than that, nothing worth mentioning on any noteworthy mob.

Nah, slow and steady progress for me. I'm fighting the traditional way because between myself and my mule, I can only hold 2 KIs at a time, which is a waste of a brew, when a brew can kill 5 at a time. I need like 25-30 more.

Would knock that out in an afternoon if I had 2-3 more ppl to hold KIs

Cant see why you cant easily do that. Just get some friends to come out for the +2 items. Hell, they can ever come out and hope for a yellow proc as you zerg.

They again, if you have 4-5 people come out totally, shouldnt even need to brew, fight is a pretty big joke.

I probably could do it easily, I just don't like to bother people unless it's something I can't do on my own.

I'm in no hurry to finish anyways, aside from helping friends when they ask for it and 2-3 hours of ls events 4-5 times a week, I don't do anything but sit in port jeuno while I play other games, watch ***on youtube, or do homework.

I'm really not concerned about finishing anytime soon. My only expectation is to be finished before the next update, which was pushed back. I've just been joining /shout groups to get scales from them because I'm too lazy at this point to even log on my second char and do it myself. The majority of the scales I do have just come from joining shouts I see in Jeuno while i'm sitting there bored.

Like 10 scales come from ls stuff. 2-5 come from duo'ing it w/ my mule, the other 20+ come from shout groups

Duo isn't bad, just have to pay attention (well at least I did since dual boxing). MP was never an issue, I didn't time it, but I don't remember it taking too long. I honestly think the KI NM as long between the facts that I was on war/nin for them and had to proc !!

I'd save the fanatics powders for if counterstance got dispelled within a min or so after me using it.

Gred pretty much took over. Panda dipped out a while ago. Witemage/Braarg were leading after that. I think the three of them are on Rift now.

A few left for Sharktopus and we still do events that Gred leads, though in all honesty, I usually go to bed after the 3 hour mark from either tiredness (since my school schedule is diff and I have early classes) or just plain boredom. If I'm not tired after 3 hours, I'm bored, and log off anyways.

Meh, guess its not a big deal since you only really need 2-7 people to do events now a days.
