It really comes down to the accuracy issue, as well as the opportunity cost of WS neck pieces. I would also like to point out that an Ire Torque +1 is fairly rare, on my server for example, there are very few to be had and are pretty expensive.

You *** I want those top ones haha. Just out of curiosity, why did you post the picture of the +5AGI ones, this is after all a Victory Smite thread.

Haha it sure took me a lot of trophies. For the second pair I was just rambling on how awesome it would have been if they were +5str.

Ah ok, I got ya. It's going to take me a *** month to get enough trophies to have a decent shot at the +3STR, might as well make Usu haha.

Was wondering, what's a good Smite setup outside abyssea?

The sets we have discussed/tweaked here are all good VS setups for outside abyssea, just keep an eye on your accuracy.

My gut reaction tells me that outside abyssea the DEX on aias would behave similar to the crit hit rate + on Leonine mask. Considering the heavy STR mod on smite I would think Aias would be the better option.

Thew Bomblet > Tantra Tathlum? I know I need new pants.. but Hachiryu won't be easy to come by. My Anwig is already used for DNC.

Thew for uncapped atk/Impetus down, Tantra else. Usu legs are best bet till you get some Hachiryu.

Thew inside abyssea, tantra outside probably depending on accuracy. Usukane will be fine outside of abyssea also when you arent always capping dex.
BUTTT
Since we are in abyssea 100% of the time. Yes use Thew bomblet and try for hachi pants. Rest looks fine.

I'm not sure about BB>Light/thunder belt.
I've been getting some pretty good spikes using ws belts over anything else.
someone needs to double check that. I get more constant 4ks and some very nice 6k spikes but ws gorget/neck combo.

The belts have been mathed to +.1 fTP on Weaponskills. Those spikes in damage are most likely from a double/triple attack, or some other parameter you are overlooking.

not sure if this has been asked yet, but...
If black belt is better than thunder/light belt, then would ire torque +1 be better than thunder/light gorget? or am i high
edit: i see that ire +1/ele belt is the same as bb/gorget. But would Ire+1/bb be better (assuming you have capped acc). sorry D: wasn't so clear.

My understanding from this thread is that ire torque+1/beir belt +1 or black belt are both superior in those slots in any situation where accuracy isn't an issue. If accuracy is an issue use either the ire +1/ele belt or gorget/black belt or beir belt(+1).
Edit: I would assume gorget/black belt is best if accuracy is an issue though since that combo doesn't give any -dex or accuracy.

Messing around with the new Augments for abjuration gear and ended up with a Shura Kabuto with 5Str,5acc,5atk,ws dmg 1%. Would this be better then Aias, and how would it stack up versus MKD head?

Looking through the sky gear augments and noticed Byakko's haidate gets critical hit dmg +1~4% as one of its main potential augments. It could also get STR bonus up to +2, but it seems atm that its more of a random augment then one of the 5 it normally gets. Would a STP +5 and critical hit dmg +4% Byakko's beat out the other leg options like Usukane and Hachiryu?

It would beat Usukane legs assuming the extra attack on Usukane legs isn't being put to use. Hachiryu would win regardless, though that said, it's still an option for outside Abyssea pending dDEX
Edit: Though if you're getting accuracy from them I'd suspect they'd pull ahead

I suppose you would need to get a nice chunk of STR to pair with crit dmg on Byakkos to beat out everything? I just realized that Byakko's with crit dmg +4 weren't too much different than Desultor legs with crit dmg +3 and another augment and I never seen anyone consider those, either.

Oh crit+4, I thought you had said 5, 4% probably won't even beat Usukane without the attack bonus. Still a viable option outside Abyssea though.

I'm probably not going to bother augmenting my Byakko legs then. I just got a pair of those pants listed above from Dominion Trophies with STR +2, VIT +2 augment so I'll just stick with those until I can get Usu legs.

I dont understand, you have Hachiryu, why would you want to down grade?
*note* not to say that you shouldnt, just to look forward to any salvage +1 plans in the future, but its seems that youre looking for something better and currently, you already have them.

Normally a lurker... though I'm curious if my set up is OK.
Anwig Salade is DEX 4 AGI4 Crit dmg 2%, WS dmg 2% (It was originally for Blade: Hi, but I *think* it's OK for VS also?), Moonshade Earring is Att+4 TP Bonus+25 for the increased crit hit rate chance. I do have both ele gorget/belts for VS, so if I should use 1 or 2 of them then I do have that option, though I was personally looking to do Beir Belt +1 in waist slot... Any input is more than welcome!

If you're doing voidwatch or w/e the fk its called, you'll want to add far more acc than that.

Nah, don't plan on doing Voidwatch until at least next level increase. Though my acc peresonally seems fine on most stuff. Jailers, T4 ZNMs, Dyna, etc.
Edit: "Most stuff" being things outside of abyssea.
Ok I am not a mnk main by any stretch of the definition but I do have the 30 advancement coins to finish the +1 weapon once I have finished the nm trials.
This is what I am planning on using as soon as I finish within the next week. My main question is, what gorget should I be using with this weaponskill and is it better than a neck with 5+ str. My other question is with VS being a 4 hit /ws do I really need to concern myself with ACC should I upgrade to hefoc mitts?
Any other constructive help would be appreciated. Thanks.
