I'd imagine that would be quite a bit of ground to cover from 75-90. The first one would be something like 1500 bashes vs x family like the first trial for weapons.

They wouldn't make it shield bash kills unless they introduce a JA that makes shield bashing your method of attacking (similar to footwork)

I still never get over the way people on this site talk absolutes sometimes. Pld may have little place in most situations but the "PLD ARE DEAD NAO" or "WHY EVEN USE RDM" posts are a little overblown.
Also, someone hug Karby. His posts are getting increasingly more aggresive/emo today and I feel bad for the guy

I don't mind them making more jobs able to tank but I worry about the people who don't have time to level several jobs and keep them well geared. *cough* It's not like you have a choice to level a different job every update and I understand your pain.

Hope so, there is still 91-99 and that is outside of the Abyssea funhouse. Maybe more regular tactics will be required by the time we get to the 99 endgame.

They wouldn't make it shield bash kills unless they introduce a JA that makes shield bashing your method of attacking (similar to footwork) What would be nice is if they cut down the recast time to like 1min.

I find myself on mnk all the time... wish I could play the job I like most but it seems SE needs to do some rebalancing. Or maybe they intended it to be this way with specific jobs having niche things like specifically proc !!.

My first upgraded AF3 piece was PLD legs, yet it's still parked at 75. I wanted to take up MNK some time ago, but *** pre-abyssea levels. Moreover, I don't really have access to a black belt.

PPL can hate on Pld's but I've found it's a very useful job to have around. Especially in Abyssea where you can be pretty self sufficient.
stick on Sanguine Scythe + Mounted Champion + Perfect attendance and you can really just roll on your own, sure you don't own things fast but you do pretty well.
Now sure i have other jobs and i do bring them to the table when they're needed but some things while they might not "call for" a paladin it does just make easier.
As an aside : bringing 18 ppl is unnecessary. I will often however bring 18 ppl to "atma" or "win" events because there's no reason you can't share with other ppl who need, just make sure they know to stay out of the way.

PLD/MNK Counter Stance Tank Caladbolg Torcleaver go................!
I'm gonna do it once for shits and giggles then go back to playing DRK.
But honestly this is the only hope PLD has, because Sword and Shield you arent going to hold hate against jack ***.
PLD can honestly get a pretty damn nice build for Torcleaver, The hands are pretty damn amazing for a WS that is a 60% VIT mod.
Should be done with my Caladbolg in 3 more days then I gotta level /MNK ~_~

My TP setup would look like this, lacking +2 mainly bc I dont care too much for PLD at the moment :/
Needs moar +2 to cap haste tho~
If you were hoping for an Update that would return PLDs to their previous glory, you are going to be disappointed to say the least.
While WAR gains a JA *Blood Rage* that potentially boosts the Dps of itself and the entire party, and MNKs DOT will now scale upwards dramatically *Impetus* with every consecutive succesfull hit and BLMs will now be able to Nuke even harder without as much concern for hate issues *Enmity douse*, PLDs will gets Holy Circle+1 *Sepulcher*
There is the slight chance that higher Tier NMs in the new Abyssea zones will require a solid tank and be impossible to zerg down once you've gotten your grellow or red !!'s. However, seeing as how the JA's in this update seem to be oblivious to the current situation with PLD, I wouldn't hold my breath.
