OK OK... this one's hard to beat. It's a song that embodies a zeitgeist that had incredible effects on the sociopolitical landscape, not to mention the effect that it had on music and the industry.

Interestingly enough, this cover was initially done in a response to critics that called Bauhaus a David Bowie "soundalike" band even though their image and fanbase were a lot darker. LOVE IT!

I LOVE THIS! Takes the "we got stoned and drunk, jammed for 2 days straight and came up with this" vibe right out of it. It's melodic but still a departure for bowie. There are some interesting international guitar influences in it, which wouldn't normally lend itself to a song by a 70's garage band out of boston.
