Its basically limiting alot of the controls to one key, for example, the numeric keypad and the W A S D buttons were used for movement, now its just the keypad, as it was in XI. This has opened up alot of keys for other actions, and ive copied the XI template as much as possible, for example Ctrl-E was for Equipment in XI, now its just E.
Ive kept some of the defaults, such as for Battle Regimen (you never know, may use it one day XD), and theres still plenty of letters free should u wish to add or alter. For this system to work you need to keep the original "compact keyboard" setting, where a space is needed to open the chat box. At this time, what little play ive done with the "chat specific" keyboard, i cannot fathom the controls, hence creating this "hybrid" set up.
I also suggest making the new SP/EXP bar the same size as the HP/MP/TP bar and placing it in the top left corner, making the bottom less cluttered.
No doubt many of you has already done this to your own personal liking, but for anyone that feels a bit stumped when looking at this new config screen, it may be of some help :) Any comments welcome!
