Why would SE give RDM flowers? Pretty much anything would've been better. WHM was hilarious, and BLM looks pretty cool. I'm thinking DRK is a Batman reference, what with the bats and the fact they call Batman the Dark Knight. As for NIN, I'm probably missing something but the giant frog confused me. It made no sense. If anything the THF emote should've been the one for NIN.

Mini-Death Blossom's. /sigh

what if the emote code is just /job? then it would use your job's emote not whichever one you want,

If that were the case, there would have been no need to mention the fact that you could use them, regardless of current job.

If you were not able to use them on other jobs, then mentioning that fact would be redundant, unneeded information, as it would have already been implied by "job specific" emotes.

Quote:
Acquired job emotions can be performed at any time regardless of your character's current job or level." as in if you level sync you can still use the emote for your job regardless if you are synced to 10, or restricted lower (like holiday events)

You'd have a point, if they only said current level, but lv sync or any other type of restriction has absolutely zero to deal with current job.

Now, based on what they said, it's more reasonable to believe that they will be available to any job than it is to believe they will not.

You know if you think about it some of these emotes will be different for each race. I don't think Galka THF are going to jumping in the air doing splits.

"Emote v. - To express emotion, especially in an excessive or theatrical manner"

Wait a moment while I express my "summoning bats" emotion.

These are all absolutely tasteless. Thankfully, they're just event nonsense and have no bearing on the actual game.

It is true they said current job, but that still doesnt mean it either way, like i said, i hope im wrong, but they may still be exclusive to the job using it, dispite the comment made at the bottom, that is a general note they do tend to make on everything though, maybe it means somthing, maybe not, i still dont forsee dark knights throwing bandaids on people's heads or whitemages standing atop porroggo. The way it makes sense to me, you can use it on any job if you have that job's emote opened, like i said /job seems likely. But i still dont know for certain, its still likely that they dont just let people spam say all the glow emotes and run around like living candles of sparkles.

First thing that came to mind when I saw Dragoon's Emote was Destiny Gundam's Wings? o.O

This is kinda silly, considering Gundam SEED had the "DRAGOON System".

They haven't said anything other than they will be unlocked in quests. There is no information on the quests themselves.

You can dance when you are happy or slap someone when you are upset with them.

You don't summon bats when you have the shits.

Or do you?

PUP and DRG should have had something interactive with their pets. BST and SMN would of been nice but too many variables for them to pull it off on those jobs but PUP and DRG really could of been better. DNC being a cheerleader is fairly stupid. They could of had a special dance or something instead of pom poms...

The only thing that is disappointing to me is that some of the emotes are very animated (NIN and THF in particular), while others essentially consist of effects layered over the static standing animation (I'm looking at you, DRG/SAM/BST/SCH). I'd be happier if each job was at least granted some sort of pose that matches their theme (such as the thoughtful pose we often see NPCs doing in CSes for SCH). :/

So how long before a disgruntled player GM's someone for making a baby chocobo appear on their head and calls it harassment? Toss a band-aid on someone who gets outlotted on that last coin of vision for their AF3+2 upgrade?

Oh, yes. I see much fun coming in the future.

I almost want to put the Warrior emote in an /attack macro so that I'm always saying "Bring it;" however, by the time the animation would end most mobs would already be dead, lol.

Like the way it looks though.

I can see myself playing around with the one for Thief & Ninja.

The wings a Dragoon grows should be more like the actual wings of a dragon/wyvern. Not some faint BS that looks like a slightly more dull version of those wings you grow from... that firework item thing (I can't remember what it's called).

Awwwwww I was really hoping we'd get something with our automaton, but I guess that would mean we cant use it everywhere.

Made me laugh though, I enjoyed it.
