1/57 on shadow ring, (3/57 on mantle)

before i had sky access....... 1/>186 on red mage's testimony from soloing Ruby Quadav... thats why i was 70 for 18 months

hmmm only 3 of your 57 runs dropped a mantle? >.> I some how can't believe that

Not saying its not true... but even with TH3 we got one every other run

1/43 on OKotes, did that in 2 sittings too. I got it when my friends were round and since then I seem to have gotten all my drops while they are round.
0/32 on Sarutobi Kyahan, I don't even need it anymore, it's just spite. (One of the friends mentioned above was 1/1.)
1/8 on Emp Hairpin. Not too bad but have gone 1/1 on it ever since for others.
1/23 on Rose Garden (and 0/1 on Vilma), I still don't have the ring since I let my friend (another of the ones above) keep it.
1/15 on Soboro for a friend.
1/20 on Crimson-Toothed for Light Spirit Pact.
1/something big on Hoar-Kunckled
1/50something on LL. Dropped while I was helping a friend camp it.
1/1 on Argus, I just happened to find him up.
And lastly 21 kills on Athamas to get my final Iga Leg seal.

Osama Bin Ladin has the worst drop rate. One in ten years of constant farming is abysmal.

That's insane when my trio went to get soboro we got it 3/3 times.

Ok, I'll go the extra step and call BS on that one. The only way you're going to go 3/57 on mantles is if you wipe 50 of the 57 fights. And while the ring drop rate does seem to suck, it's also nowhere near 1/57.

But hey, what do I know, my shell only has 19 mantles and 7 rings. Maybe later I'll tally up how many times we've killed DL.

It amazes me how exact people are on their no drop streak. lol i'm 0/exactly 104. I don't keep track of that ***but it took me 6 months of doing floor 80 every day after work to get Askar Korazin. 1/1 Sarutobi Kyahan which prolly didn't help my 1/at least 3 digits for Ochimusha.

2 hours for 1 kindred seal to break level cap on my dual boxed character... was killing lesser colibies and bees in AU

Heh, I forgot about belt items... I was 1/1 on all the brown belt items. (I know the morbol is 100% but I got it the 1 day I decided to camp it.)

3/53ish.. Okote, camped for friends. lol 1/11 on the kyahanwhatsitsnameican'tremember.
I was really lucky with the matkmacc earring set NMs, 1/4 on both, who woulda thought :)

Mine isn't so much about drop rates, but it's a painful NM camping experience anyway.

I spend AT LEAST a straight week logged into the Maze of Shakhrami waiting for this idiot to drop a Peacock Amulet. As has been said already, a lot of the horror is in the spawn conditions (18-30 hour respawn REALLY sucks when you don't know the ToD...). Not to mention the competition!

In fact, whenever I snagged him, I had to hold him until I could get one of my THF friends to come and slap him so I could get TH.

It's still my most prized possession in FFXI for this reason.

...And then the level cap increase was announced.

EDIT: Although I have been extremely lucky with other NMs: 1/1 on Empress Hairpin, 1/2 on Ochimusha Kote, 1/1 on Shepherd's Chain...

Refresh Wivre Hairpin. Up to 105 hours total farming. Obviously not consecutively. Finally gave up and realized in 105 hours I could 2 box 1 or 2 emps so doing that now instead.

Keys in Castle O for rdm AF. first time 34 hours RL farming time. Was thrilled when the chest popped in behind the camp i was in. Second time (different character) 28 RL hours. Spent another 2 hours looking for chest.

k while i support your effort for staying on those nms that long, that seems like a pretty obnoxiously long time to camp them @_@; 167 simurgh kills, assuming at MINIMUM 21hr repop thats still like 150 days of camping him >_<! xolotl may be different back when p harpe was the ***, still 135 claims is a ton..

for the record i think im 12ish/25 simurgh, camping him for literally my whole linkshell, found one in nyzul too. friend camped VE and LL for me 1/1 @_@ so im lucky there, okote took awhile maybe 30+ kills, kayan 1/10. ovni took awhile for a friends bullwhip, with numerous blue!!, 5/5 or 6/6 on rani ring, once without blue!!, maybe 8/10 yaanei hat, uhhh lets see turul is a pain in the *** but nice when he drops lokis maybe 6/12+ with blue!!, also after camping argus for myself and a friend went 2/2, but his took probably 100+ hours to pop ; ; worst experience so far is glavoid i guess, not his drop rate, but whenever he drops only one shell it hurts my soul and i die a little inside

0/40+ on Goliard glogs (tho I've seen it drop twice but not when i was the one getting it)

if I had half as bad drop rates as some of you I would have given up.

Not really the worst but one of the most annoying was, Rogue Recepticle for my lyricist's Gonelle. about 1/15 I think.

1/42 X's Knife, plus 10 fails (someone forgot to get letter) @ 1/week. took an entire year. Was made non relavant a month after i got it with the introduciton of trial daggers. will never drop it, come on augments!
