I imagine it does since a lot of the calculations between casting magic and shots are the same.

Well the basic rules for MDT work for the dmg calcs for QD if I'm not mistaken. Obi's work for QD... ele staves boost QD (all magical boosting items). I'd say its a fair bet it does
