Halloween Costumes!

I've been racking my brain over what I should be this year, so I figured I'll start a thread and see if anyone wants to brainstorm some ideas.

I wanted to do a brain slug like so ~



But a friend said that wasn't enough :/ and I don't want to dress up as a Futurama character

I was also thinking Han Solo with a Chewbacca backpack, but I can't find any of those for sale anymore

holloween express or holloween USA sells a ton of costumes, in the store and online... they have a ton of starwars stuff to.. saw one that was dark vader on there for 500$

I'd go for a minimalist approach just to get you included in the parties. Find the easiest thing that'll pass for a costume, after all...

If you have a friend to go with you, you can be Mario and Luigi. Two pairs of denim overalls, a red shirt and hat, a green shirt and hat, and all you need is some white fabric paint for an M and an L.

You could buy some red duct tape and wrap yourself all up in it, then when someone asks what you are, make them go to ridiculous heights to figure it out. Like, you have to ask right as the clock dings 10:07 and only when I have a full drink in my hand and you have to give me a candy apple before I will tell you and you have to ask from 32 degrees to my left side, etc. etc. See how long it takes them to figure out that you are Government Red Tape.

Zombies are always fun, and you can make the costume as lavish or as simple as you like. Pirates, ghosts, and other monsters are also easy to make lavish or simple.

My boyfriend and I are doing Sweeney Todd and Mrs Lovett. My sister and her boyfriend are doing the Green Lantern and Super girl. My parents are being Navi's lol.

They have some amazing costume sites but good lord they're expensive as hell. It was roughly 100 per costume for us but there are some sites that go up to 700 dollars for amazing costumes. o.o I love the cosplay costumes the most but if I were to do cosplay I'd make my own costume cause some aren't up to par.

ya Akihiko Senada (I think his last name was) is an easy costume to pull of, but people may not get it...then you're just dressed up kinda preppy

But I would never spend that much on an outfit I'd wear once in my life. If I was going to be one of those, though, I'd be the Warrior Princess with leggings underneath so I didn't freeze. ^^
