Your Proudest Final Fantasy XI Moment

This might not be my best achievement, and I didn't think it was funny at the time it happened, but it's kinda funny now.

My first RDM Maat fight (I was told it was extremely tough, so I waiting until level 70) I enter the battlefield, buff up, and get all prepared. I get close to Maat, and cast Sleep2. Sleep didn't stick, and then Maat PROCEDED to Asuran Fist my butt to oblivion. Fight over.

I was like "You gotta be f*****g kidding me!!! What the hell?"

I was told be a LS member that Maat can be an @$$ sometimes.

Funny now, but not when it happened.

Ok, seriously, my proudest momemt was getting Usukane Haramaki for my PUP :)

Regardless of all the great things that have happened. The one thing that almost caused my Heart to blow out of my chest was my last fight with DRK maat.
I was in the heat of battle when i realised i forgot my Icarus wing!
Needless to say I dropped the "F" bomb a few times but I beat him.
Beating DRK maat at LVL 70 with no icarus wing is something i still like to brag about..lol
May not seem much been when all else seemed to appear "FAIL" i came out on top.

No doubt would have to be Maat's cap. Took two character attempts and over 5 years to get it. I even calculated the hours it took if I got 8k exp per hours for the amount of exp still needed at times. Ha.

Maat's Cap was a proud moment for me, I suppose, but having full Usukane Haramaki Set is better than free tele to Jeuno hat :)

I posted this a while back, but it's been buried.

In all the miscellaneous crap I've done, probably my proudest accomplishment was building and leading a CoP static that went 1/1 on every single fight, including wins on many of them during the Dry run.

I was a slave driver and meticulous planner, including planned job changes, shopping lists, etc. However, I lead from the front and I had a great team, and we kicked butt all the way through.

Probably the best moment from it all for me was beating Promy Vahzl on a dry run which we really planned to just use as D3-ga and come back another day. We had no intention of doing the BC, just getting some Boss clears so we could jumpstart the actual planned run the next time out.

Someone suggested we give the BC a go, since it was a free D3 if we didn't win, and I looked over our setup and told everyone that I had a plan, and if we executed perfectly, we could actually pull it off. We did just that. Everyone did their part perfectly, including dying when and where told to do so.

To lead a group that can make it all come together like that; you just can't replace that with anything.

When I got 6+ tells from people from a certain ls screaming "OMG WAR SHOULD NOT TANK IN THE DUNES YOU NOOB!"
Guess the level 14 thf should tank instead <.>

Helping my bro finish CoP

Beating Bahamut V1 (for my bro again lol xD)

Getting SAM to 75 ^^ (prior to level sync)

Getting 1/1 on VE (gogo TH3 hase!)

D-cloth and serket ring in 1 box was probably one of my happiest moments
as well as getting o-kote back when they weren't r/ex right after maintnence with like 5 botters standing around with broken bots :D (barely beat out 1 dude cuz I had voke and he had to melee claim XD) (sadly sold my o-kote for 2 mil..and then bought an SH for 2 mil -.- current price? about 1/3-1/4 of o-kote ;_;)

I'm gonna have to go with winning Divine Might and getting my Abyssal Earring for DRK. That was a really fun fight. It's probably my favorite encounter in the whole game because of the difficulty. i went 1/3 on it. Now all i need is my Justice Torque :)

Hehe I tanked as blu in the dunes even with plds in the pt. Cause i had more vit and def before food as a tarutaru then the galka pld after food lol. Pissed the pld off though :)

It's either completing SCH LB5, completing ACP 11, or getting O. Kote drop...

I think SCH LB5 because SCH is my greatest accomplishment/ffxi career!

Haha the one party I had in dunes as a BLU I was tank. It was... interesting. And kind of exciting, so I'm planning on trying out PLD sometime.

I ended up TNKing on DNC all the damn time up until about the jungles. Not that I was actually trying to tank, DNC just generates too much damn hate lol

Had a party with 2 other members of my LS today, one on PLD and one on DNC. The DNC was deliberately trying to steal hate XD PLD kept hate most of the time but it was fun to watch.

Ya, with DNC I would get into a vicious cycle where I'd get beat up, need to cure myself, generate more hate, get beat up more, need to cure myself...even just having Drain Samba III running is enough to get mobs looking at me all the time during campaign, but Lord knows nobody ever wants to tank there, so it's prolly deliberate lol

i remember venturing out as my whm for the first time in sarutabaruta... i would fight and fight and die and die.

eventually someone told me about /heal about 20 mins in after id asked how to rest. so it wasnt that bad.

Problem is I was level 6 before I figured out how to equip my onion rod >.>

whm have no hand to hand skill you know... but figuring out how to equip that damn wand.. that was my proudest moment!

Best FFXI Moment has to be When i first got SMN to 20 and started doing the Solo level 20 fights.. i beat the Clear time on Ramuh... Boasted bout that for awhile until i realized Maint.. was 3 days after i did it so it got cleared ahahaahha

Mine has to be the moment I finally got Joyeuse in my hands... days and day of camping D: I was so happy... never going back there again.

Most recent would be beating Apoc Nigh!
