Your Proudest Final Fantasy XI Moment

I would have to say it is a tie between my first 2 jobs hitting 75 and my VERY recent (last tuesday and 3 years into FFXI) new piece of gear. I finally got my Byakko's Haidate. Small achievement for some, great for me!

A few that rank up there for me.

1. Meeting my wife :D
2. Getting first 75
3. Getting accepted into +1
4. Finishing COP
5. Ace's Helm
6. Byakko's Haidate
7. Justice Torque

It's usually one of my 1st's moments, that I get a sense of enjoyment for the game but the moment doesn't last long (hmmm this seems awfully familiar to another enjoyable but fleeting moment ^ ^). Moments not in order.

1. first solo and NM drop - lantern shield
2. I got a mil gil drop from ENM but I didnt find out til I got to the AH to post it.
3. I got a mil gil drop from bcnm - archer's ring from royal jelly
4. First time I entered dynamis, I got my 1st relic piece that day also
5. I got Kirrin's Osode
6. My first Maat victory - 8 tries :( on one try I didn't even get to fight cause I ran out of time getting 300 tp with sleep potion
7. First 75
8. First time to Jeuno
9. Getting out of the F*****G! jungle (I still hate that place)
10. Getting rank 10
11. First time entering sky
12. Finishing quest and getting to use Asuran Fist 1 min before the server shut down for maintenance
13. Logging in after nearly a year away from the game because I was at sea and didn't have a laptop to log on with.
14. First time I beat another player in brenner/ballista
15. First time link follwed by aggro link and then low hp aggro link
16. First time d-lvl (I was like WTF!! how am I losing XP)
17. First time poisoned death after close victory mostly cause that was my first time into the highlands
18. First time in Jugner Forest which is the first time I saw a walking tree which are nightmarishly horrific looking which was shortly followed by tree and tiger aggro which lead to death

meeting some amazing friends.. the feeling after i helped some great friends finish CoP.. just any time i got to help the friends ive made would have to be my proudest moments..
nothing i really got or have done for myself really touch the feeling i felt when i got to see my friends happy

Getting Deimos's Cuirass and going 1/1 on k club in the same week.
Getting Aegishjalmr, Algol, Ochimusha Kote, and Bounding Boots within 24 hours. (Leaping Lizzie was up waiting for me when I got there to camp him.)

Hi All-
Proudest moments:
1. The first day I was in San d'Oria, being shown around by someone I still don't know.
- best first impression on MMORPG!
2. Establishing LavitzReborn (took me a long time to start my first real linkshell)
3. Meeting my IRL girlfriend in-game. :-D
4. LazvitzReborn's first Genbu, Suzaku, Seiryu, Byakko (waited 2 months for kiting Kirin)
5. LavitzReborn's first successful TP burn Kirin.
6. Watching people coming to my LS and being proud when they tell me how fair it is compared to other LSs they have been in.

1. Beating Blue Mage Shattering Stars first try.
2. Getting Sea access (and then beating CoP.)
3. Soloing my final Blue Mage spell (Vertical Cleave).
4. 1/1 on: Mycophile Gloves, Moldavite Earring, Bravo's Subligar, Bounding Boots

I would have to say mine are,

1) Hitting 50 BLM and getting full af for it in the same day.

2) The first time me and my rl friend went to Wadi and had our *** handed to us by a bunny. (Not so much a proud moment, but was damn funny at the time.)

3) Top one would be the day I finally got my DRG to 75.

Proudest moments for me would be getting my first 75 and acquiring Yigit Gomlek because Periqia assaults are just eww.

Oh, and my first trip to Bostanieux Oubliette, maybe not as proud a moment but a memorable one for sure. 2 Lv30 Warriors KO's under the sewer hatch. lol.

Running around like a little girl "fighting" Maat on WHM
Starting my own endgame shell (and not having it collapse)
Getting Black Belt for monk
Having over 15 deaths trying to duo Sandy 8-2 ... and finally winning.
And of course, every day that I make a new friend in game

some JP linkshell wiping to nidhogg at 1% and me 2hring on ninja killing it solo. saddly nlegs dropped.

1) Getting my Joytoy after camping it for a month and killing with a PLD tank.

2) Getting my Sorcerer's Petsos from the BLM NM and nothing else dropping in the zone apart from it!

3) Reaching 75 for my first time.

4) Solo'ing my first lv80+ NM.

LOL, same thing happened to me, was down there with an LS member doing the Drain quest and saw the hatch...I'm like "What's down there?" and he's like "I dunno, click on it and find out..."

Yeah, he knew...jerk ^^

About 2 weeks ago, I got a speed belt on my orb for KSNM99. We went back a week later to do more runs....on my friend's turn I was asked to open chest...what do you know, another belt dropped! Must be my magic touch! Anyways, probably some of my proudest FFXI moments! ~_^

my most proudest moment's would have to be beating raubahn on blu after 3 times of trying, meeting some cool friends, and getting my first piece of homam

-Soloing sky NMs for the first time, Zipanca in particular.
-Running around watching Genbu die for 2hours.(lolGenbu I know!)
-Beating my first Wyrm HNM.
-Completing my first Salvage peice.
-Beating Odin.
-Going 1/1 on Peacock Amulet...on a mule!

Alot more but i'm too tired to think atm D:

i've got loads but i'd have to say my happiest was
1.) Meeting my fiancee and mother of my 7month old daughter
2.) 2/2 pca for me and my fiancee
3.)got her vali's bow in 1/4 kills.
4.) killed vali's bow nm 16 days in a row an dno drop for myself xD really sucked. think i'll leave it at that too much else to type.

my happiest was going
1/1 peacock amulet
1/1 trotter's boots
1/1 sirocco kukri

I'm going to add CoP on my list. It was a sense of Bliss in a way. The last CS... It turned night.... Then i was suddenly ganked by a Party of Fomors when i left the CS... Oh yes i don;t think i laughed so hard in my life.

I fell in love with that story line. I was bubbly for like a month.

simple... dinging 100 craft. i still got the screenshot, and yes i flipped out.. after 3 years of not knowing when the hell i'd be finished with it finally lol.

I would have to say that my proudest moment was finishing CoP with having only failed 1 time on a mission.
My static knicknamed ourselves "Team 1/1".
As soon as we did, we lost Airship fight. lol
I still love my Rajas/Tamas ring.

I'd have to say going 1/1 on CoP 6-4.

The group I went with was desperate for a win. Apparently one of the guys on it was like 0/10. So that guy and his friends I guess basically bought me a RR item, my CCB pump, echos and food for my PLD. Everyone else going was similarly loaded for bear. I think all told we spend close to 300k on pumps, meds, food, and RR items before we proceeded.

We didn't even do a dry run.

What makes this epic win, was the fact that we were 4 seconds from losing in one of the most agonizing ways possible. Proto-Ultima was ~1% and we were spent. 2 people dead, no one really had MP, and were basically expecting to be kicked out with a loss. Dots were on, but no one had a clue if they'd chew up enough HP in time. 3 seconds left I toss off a Holy. There's still some pink pixels on the HP bar. Screen goes black. It's a loss BUT NO! We're getting the CS for winning. The holy did enough damage for the dots to finish the job.

It was only later on did I come to realize how insane this was... So yeah... definitely my proudest moment...

Hey male.. You know on that run, you can die once and still be able to rest a few b4 killing the rest of it?

Well You die once when fighting Omega....then RR....I do believe...

We died a couple of times on that run... when all was said and done, and it tells you how much time you took to win, out time was 44 minutes 59 seconds... Now you tell me that's not a close call...

So many things come to mind, but none was more rewarding than leading a CoP Static on my other character (Darkmoose).

I had done CoP mostly with pickups with Aramina, and had done many of the fights numerous times before getting going with them on Darkmoose. I spent 3-4 weeks recruiting the static, planning out what jobs everyone had and strategies for all of the fights, I put hours of effort into planning strategies for our mission nights, not only for fight strategies, but for maximizing our use of time (go go Sprinter Shoes).

We started together at Sacrarium (4-3) and went from that mission all the way to CoP Complete, never failing a mission and often times winning on a dry run.

Included in that were doing from Sacrarium through the completion of Promyvion Vahzl in one night. I had no intent of clearing Vahzl that night, and in my mission brief had set a goal of getting at least 2 floor bosses cleared. We cleared the 4th floor boss, and people were not passing out yet, so we figured we'd give the 5th floor boss a try. After that, we figured we might as well have a go at the BCNM, so I told everyone that I had a plan, and if we executed perfectly, we stood a remote chance to win. Everyone did an amazing job and not only did we win with no animas and minimal medicines, but we also broke the BC record.

The next mission night, we completed all Three Paths in 4 hours. I went SAM/RNG for Snoll Tzar and blasted him with 6 consecutive Sidewinders. He was dead before we even got to use a Salt... LMAO.

To the guys in my group, doing CoP with you was the best thing I've ever done in FFXI.

Sehbu/Chett, Kasuma, Kyosak, Thedecoy, Snuggly... You guys are awesome!

Thanks also for assistance along the way from Ceri, Dmer, Varus, Italiano, Zerolzero, Ichrius, Sofiax, and probably other people I'm forgeting.

Rocking CoP with you guys beats getting Byakko's Haidate, or soloing Chain 4 on Ul'Phaubo as SAM/DNC, or any of the other crazy stuff I've done. It even beats duoing the CoP 8-2 fight with a SAM/DNC & RDM/NIN setup in a grand total of 1:32, pulling off the "perfect skillchain" in the process (Full L2 Skillchain wheel, leading into Darkness, it's like a SAM wet dream). I really need to post that video someday...

My Rajas Ring on Darkmoose is my most prized possession, and not because it's super nice gear. It's because of the way it was obtained and the memories I have of the battles to get it and the guys I was there fighting alongside.

EDIT: If anyone wants to PM me for CoP Battle Strategies, feel free. I love strategy and planning, and I've done most of the missions and BCNMs at least 3-5 times.

My CoP Static 1/1 on Airship wasn't pretty, but it worked. Dry run we got to 16% on Omega before I called wipe. We had a substitute PLD for the fight and he was an epic 1/52 on Airship before going with us.

On the full run, our WHM d/c shortly before Omega fell, and we needed to wait almost 5 minutes before he got back, all the while losing time.

We hit Ultima with ~8 Minutes left, and decided to "go for it" and went insane. Took him down methodically to ~50%, which was when the fun started. I was SAM/RNG and dropped 6 Sidewinders in a row, with a Barrage mixed in there, dropping him from 50% to 5% in about a minute. Of course, right after that I died, but the other guys were able to polish off the last bit.

Proudest moment ever....
Getting banned for duping after 5 years of play time. Hellz yea.

Riiight.... Good job. Awesome. /praise.

What can I say. I only lost ebody/ridill/valhalla/hauteclair and such things. Yall know nobody can match me in the proudest moment ever.
