You should really try finish CoP and ZM and get yourself Rajas ring and consider maybe getting a Bushinomimi ( 2 free STR on ear slot, and you can always repeat the mission and change the item ) and a Hollow earring ( 2 DEX and 3 acc for free, not to mention DEX affecting crit hit rate which also is RR's TP mod ).

Try get Byakko's haidate and ecatomb Leggings / Mittens while at it.
if you want to stick to RR then you can get yourself a free ( can't get cheaper than that ) Voyager sallet and a Jaeger ring off Carmine Dobsonfly NM, or ask for help getting Askar zucchetto from Nyzul isle Floor 100.
Once you finish ACP mission line you can leave those in your MH and go for a Champ. Gaela.

Once you finish CoP and get your Rajas ring you'll be able to get an easy 6 hit build on /SAM.
Until then you can eat carbonara food which gives 6 stp to backup for the lack of te ring. Get an ecphoria ring or attila earring and you're set for a cheap 2.2 tp build.

@OP

my quick advise on gear

- Complete CoP to get rajas rings and sea access (WS & TP)
- Farm sea mobs for getting aqua gorget (its actually pretty easy and fast with 2-3 friends) (WS only)
- Complete MKD and get he helmet with AGI+4 Increases weapon skill damage (+2%) & STR+4 Weapon Skill Accuracy +15 (WS only)
- look at brutal earring however it is not cheap (WS and TP)

We are pretty much at the same stage in game.
so my advice is limited.


Oh and you can always move server to titan and let get us som vnms rings and kitty pants ^.^ im kinda looking for a gear static for weekend runs

obviously this assumes that your RR/KJ is 3 hits without all 3 hits going through any store tp gear is pretty much a waste at that point

Sorry I have to ask this.. if stp trait value isn't a % then please do the math and tell me how much stp is required to achieve a 6 hit build with hagun. It's well known that you need 11 but please do the math anyways. No screw it I'll do it.

Hagun 11.5

Remainder of 17 stp needed. I know I don't wear this much, however I definitely have a 6 hit build. Seems to me something is missing. Because on top of that I wear Askar, Brutal, and Rajas for +11stp. However if you figure it like this

Hagun gives 11.5% tp/hit, ok we know this part
now add your stp together
trait 25
merits 10
gear 11
total 46

so it should look like this

11.5 x .46 + 11.5 = 16.79 shortened to 16.7 which is exactly what you need for a 6 hit build.

But I'm sure you are really right and I'm wrong because it's 2 vs 1.

What I'm trying to say.

450 delay weapon = 11.5tp
11.5 x 1.15 = 13.225 = 13.2

Which is what you get if you /sam with a 450 delay weapon.

so yes that would work as a 6 hit build

but if you figure that your WS will be 3 hits you can drop it down to 16.4

because 16.4 x 5 = 82 and RR/KJ with 3 hits connecting gives 18 + 82 = 100 for the 6 hit build

honestly either way you go is good but be wary if you go with 16.4 because if you miss that stp is a waste of space for that tp/ws round.

my first post I missed a step of adding all the stp together before figuring it as a percentage.. it's been several months since i had to think about it

just lose ecphoria if you're going to be using rr/kj (and have a better acc ring), but you need it if you're going to be using sc.

lol Yes I do at the moment. But it is information that is needed when trying to figure out how much stp you need.

If you just guess you end up being one of those sams that uses full hachiman and wasting all those gear slots.

Well just some advice. /Sam is nice but not always a option. Looks like you got a late start in game or w/e. But like ppl have mentioned stuff like byakko haidate, Heca helps RR alot since you'll get good numbers when crit's/DA. Really your current WS set dose not look bad(not great) for King's Justice idk if thats a option considering your current gear. Also you really should work on sea with no lv-cap it's not hard anymore really. Think a good budget set to build/work for would look like this.


That would be a decent start/RR set, stuff like MKD head/heca hands/hollow earring/bomblet ect. would be a upgrade from that. Just set goals and work for it. Id go finish CoP, then try to work on/get sky gear. If i was you. Then after that can go camp ***for hr's in a hnm ls ect, if you wanna make that step. I personally favor RR over KJ, I also would not use SC in XP/Merit.

It's hard to get rolling but if you get in a good LS ***can come fast if you work for it. Just keep in mind everyone had shitty gear at 1 time, after time it will build up/work out for you. Good luck^

Edit: Just noticed you said working on ToM weapon, go for vermeil. Did this trio for a friend yesterday. I went thf/nin in eva set, other 2 where. Rdm/whm main heal/debuff, and a Rdm/drk stunner for gorge.
