ATM im partying alot with my BF and his best friend and sometimes another of his friends

WAR80 (me)
DRG80 or THF80 (BF)
RDM80 or WHM80 or DRG80 (BF's best friend)

As we discussed in the WS thread, need a Magian Great Axe. Full Perle wins until you can get a Byakko's Haidate. Chiv chain is obviously upgraded to PCC when you get the gil/luck w/ BCNM. Earrings should be Brutal/Assault, I told you how to get ABCs in the WS thread. Rings Rajas/Snipers(or Woodsman), they should be like 30-40k. Other than the few adjustments I listed, looks decent. Fire Bomblet also when you get some more gil.

I know I listed things that are harder to get, but really you've got a decent start... Not much more cheap stuff you can get.

At the moment, I'd go with a Sword Strap. It'll lower your delay without needing you to hit again for TP.

Along the lines of the Magian Great Axe's, if you go with a 504 delay GA, stick with Pole Grip. If you go with a 482 delay GA, then use Sword Strap.

With /SAM using a 504 delay GA, you're looking to have +7 STP from gear (Rajas Ring, Chiv Chain, Brutal will give you +7 STP. Alternatively you could use Rose Strap and Rajas to give you +9). With +7 STP, you'll drop 1 hit for your race to 100% TP. Meaning you'll need 6 hits to achieve 100% instead of 7.

I was thinking about the 102 damage Bonesplitter for this one!

With a 482 delay GA, using Rajas Ring, I would recommend a Sword Strap as it gives you a slightly lowered delay (letting you hit 100% a bit faster), but also won't knock you down to needing more hits. You only need +2 STP to keep a 7-hit build like this, so Rajas alone would be more than enough.

I was thinking about the STR+6 Att+20 Atlas for this one.

I was thinking sword strap

I played around with ffxi calculator and this is my thought

atm im a 8hit build. The store tp does nothing for me atm.
I need 7 more store tp to get 7hit with my current Gaxe

With the 3% reduced delay of swordstrap i need 6store tp to stay at 8hitbuild or i would drop to 9hit build.

and 6 store tp is exactly what i have with rajas + chiv hain

So in the end i could go with sword strap and 3% "haste" over my DA 2% without any penalty.
and i would think 3% "haste" is more DoT than 2% DA ?

atm my haste 14% give me aprox 16% more dmg over time
with 17% reduced delay i would give aprox 20% more dmg over time

so i get almost the dbl dmg compared to DA 2%

Correct me if im wrong

I've never done the calculations... But I'm fairly positive -%weapon delay and haste aren't calculated the same...

The Trial GAs should have higher delay values, so a 6hit isn't really out of reach with a Rose strap/Brutal earring.

They work exactly the same aside from TP/hit reduction.

from what i understand both work by reducing the delay.

Thats why haste is so nice to get when you allready have some. Yhe benefit from haste grows exponential

20% haste = 25% more dmg
25% haste = 33% more dmg
50% haste = 100% more dmg
75% haste = 300% more dmg
98% haste = 4900%more dmg
99% haste = 9900%more dmg
100% haste = Infinite dmg

This is just off top of my head
and yes i know its cap'ed.

/SAM with your current build would give you a 7-hit build naked, but drop you to an 8-hit build with Sword Strap.

Using +6 STP (your current STP gear) will maintain your 7-hit build, so I wouldn't say it was doing "nothing" for you as it's lowering your TP phase by 6.6 seconds (assuming no other Haste). In a PT scenario (Haste, March x2, Hasso), then it still saves you 3.1 seconds to hit 100%.

Without /SAM, you have an 8-hit build, with or without a Sword Strap. This would make Sword Strap the better choice again.

i calculated with /nin not /sam as i use /nin for nuzyl

but you came to the same conclusion as me:
If i use sword strap naked i drop a build class down. But with my current store tp i can maintain my Xhit/build even if i add swordstrap.

so logical i would like swordstrap over pole grip atm with my current fast Gaxe ?

I dont have FFXI calc at my schol so i can't do much calcualtion right now :(

and yes brutal earring is on my long term list to.

Yeah, that would be the better choice, in my opinion at least~
