do WvWvW maps count toward 100% map discovery?
Yes

Even the vistas.

My server, Northern Shiverpeaks, is dominating the other two servers we're against. I was doing WvWvW sunday and I completed the WvWvW maps within 3 hours due to that.

Come to my server. Catnip is here with me (with his buddy) and we can get you into our "Guild of No Hope" (really Catnip lol)

haha saw someone selling fast exp dungeon runs yesterday on my server for 25silver and now this in todays patch notes.

•Added a system to limit the experience and gold that players can receive from speed-farming dungeons.

also

•Rocket Boots: This skill is no longer usable underwater. This is a temporary change until we can figure out why players can launch themselves into the sky using this skill.

^ This would be awesome to see

Rofl Rocket Boots. I need to youtube this later.

Anyways, Seems like people don't like the level 80 dungeon Story Mode. Spend 3 hours yesterday lfg/trying to get a group together and ended up leaving to let 5 people do it (cuz i got tired of waiting and there were two groups of 3 lfp so I gave up my spot like the good guy that I am) so I jumped on my Elementalist

Elementalist weapon skills (minus staff and trident, haven't leveled those up yet) are interesting. I think I like Dual Daggers but the normal attack for the water/ice (i think it was dagger) does multiple enemies and that *** me over a few times while killing things.

I'm leveling up each element first then gonna try different combos and see what I like best.

Is the 80 dungeon story mode the same as the final personal story mission? Im on it but I wasnt 100% sure if you needed a full party to do it.

Apparently you need to do the story mode dungeon to get to your personal story version. But it seems the personal story version you solo (cuz you have all those npcs to help you)

Wonder if Catnip saw the new Guild Message I put up cuz I was bored while waiting for a party lol

"By the Pale Tree, we will defeat the Elder Dragon Zhaitan!"

I attempted the story. There were NPCs but I still wiped a few times on the very first part. I just googled the final fight and people were saying they went at least with 4 others to complete the personal story.

Edit: But I believe you need to enter the dungeon to do the final story no? So aren't they the same?

Best I could find on short notice. He gets launched high enough that he lands on top of buildings.

daggers and other weapons are fun and all, but Staff seems to be the most efficient weapon to play as, since daggers will get your face raped.

Crossed axes = battle taking place between players

Crossed halberds = NPC camp that you can take over for NPC support at nearby camps/forts

Blackgate lost a large portion of it's WvWvW team when they all jumped ship to follow the zerg alliance.

WvW kind of has a fail design. The server with the most ausies / asians to cap the map at 4AM will win unless you have a 9+ capped guild zerg alliance to coordinate take backs.

Battle for WvW goes well during the day. Teams take and lose ground. 2AM-4AM(EST) people log off to go to sleep.

Ausies are just now getting off work/school. They go in and cap things with minimal resistance.

By noon EST the ausies go to bed and the normal players are logging in. It's infinitely easier holding a keep/fortification then it is taking one. That realm that took territory overnight now has a commanding lead over everyone else by the time they get off work and get on to play.

2 realms look at the 1 dominating realm (see volks pics above) and 0 interest to fight a battle that will go nowhere for them but get farmed at their starting location so they don't queue in.

What needs to happen is once Realm A completely dominates Realm B and C is they need an alliance option so Realm B and C can team up and counter Realm A until all 3 sides are on equal footing, then the alliance would end at midnight that day giving Realms B and C a small chance to do something besides sit in their spawns twiddling their thumbs.

Well every other mmo that has a WvW or RvR pvp area that I can think of does it the way GW2 does. It sucks for your servers that you guys don't have a strong WvW force to defend for the night.

As for the alliance thing I saw some of that last night at the EB puzzle. It was everyone vs crystal desert in there. the folks from blackgate and gates of madness didn't even bother fighting each other.
