No but it's free after you buy it at least >.> It's not terribly expensive, mine was $60 which is pretty cheap for a game here. Usually a game is like $90 >_> Well, a PS3 game is (when new), PC games are usuaully a bit cheaper.
1) Always a bad argument
2) Not having any problems yet, if he struggled after 10min thats a problem on his end
3) It was known long before the game came out that quests would be your primary source of exp
4) There are plenty of sights, "Point's of interest" and skill challanges that have you exploring to find them and reward you with healthy chunks of exp. You can even say you need to explore to find the random quests since they are not marked untill they are happening nearby
5) Don't even know what to say to that.
Well 14 is about to be down for several months, also with guild wars being free it's simple enough to play both at once. They are also very different games gameplay wise so it could depend on what you prefer.
"Uninstalled after playing for ten minutes,..total waste of sixty dollars
1. Horrible graphics, looks like WoW
2. waaay too hard to solo
3. cannot grind,..you get no xp for killing anything,...you forced to Quest
4. pigeon-holed into going here or there to do quests,..no exploration rewards, nothing
5. it's like the game is playing YOU
2: It'a an ACTIVE COMBAT MMO. If you just sit there and spam button 1, you will die, horribly and painfully. You have to dodge and move around. You are not the immortal demigod you are in WoW with BoA gear while leveling.
3: You can grind for XP. It's slow. Or you can kill mass swarms of mobs while doing active events, get XP and Bonus XP on killing them, then get XP for completing the event. 90% of the 'quests' you can.. get this, KILL THINGS! making that 'grinding' better and getting bonus XP for completing the task in the area.
4: You get achievements and bonus XP Money/Items for exploring every place on each map. You can also find treasure chests doin that.
5: The game sets up events. If you read/listen what the NPCs say, you'll know why they are doing what they are doing. It is your choice if you want to participate.
Youtube is a horrible place for getting reviews. It's full of trolls and people who berate things for no reason.

Worst mmo i ever played,..perhaps worst mmo in history of mmo gaming. Run away from this garbage as fast as you can,..I did"
Was considering getting this, till a read the above comment/watched a few videos on youtube of it. Game looks and sounds terribad
1. obvious troll attempt is obvious
2. once again, trolling. Dynamic events scale based on number of participants, and your skill dictates your ability to solo Veteran class monsters. Champions and above will require a group, similar to elites in other games.
3. Why is this a bad thing when the entire game centers around dynamic events and zone events? Not to mention you get a metric *** of xp from crafting, so you can supplement monster xp with that by processing the drops you get from them if you really want tog rind your levels.
4. Uh... no. The name of the game is exploring and completing maps, getting rewarded richly for doing so, and amassing XP as a direct result of it. I've already had proxy groups form around me just from doing Dynamic events, wherein I was doing a Dynamic event and a few people who were doing it with me came around with me doing other things. This is the first MMO that actually feels like an MMO to me, i.e., people actually play the game together.
5. Trolling
Honestly Starkzz, you've stumbled upon some bad troll attempt here. The game is amazing, and words do it no justice. Considering 3/5 of these are blatant trolls, and the other two are more mild troll attempts, I'd take it with less than a grain of salt.
In other news, my Rawrmeow has evolved into a Rhinomeow.
I really want to know where Kiaru and Volkom's avatars are from. They look so darn familiar and it's MADDENING!
But yeah GW2... Maybe when I get home I'll get into it if I can meet some people to play with from here or something. Right now it's terribly boring to play alone :(
I like the WoW feel at times (rewarding quests) and I like there's no "claim" on monsters so you can help anyone/anyone can help you.
I love that you get scaled to the area you're in allowing you to go and do EVERYTHING you want.
I don't like that it's IMPOSSIBLE to grind levels basically. Sometimes I don't WANT to do silly quests. But, that's me being silly. Definitely not something WRONG with the game.
I recommend people give it a chance. $60 is NOT a lot of money... just try it. If you hate it, oh well. If you love it... well you just saved a monthly fee for a different game like the ever tempting TERA or FFXIV
from the videos that I watched, it featured the game in a birds-eye view. I for one, hate games with a passion in this view, is there a setting to change it?

My camera distance is less then it is on WoW. Sometimes I wish I could put it back farther when fighting bosses... it's actually the same distance as near -every- third person game in existence. If there's an extreme zoom out option I sure haven't found it.

You mean like top down? You can freely rotate the camera, zome in and out or press V for first person. Just like FF

I don't know how many fans of Guild Wars we have here, but for me it will always have a special place in my heart. Guild Wars was a fast based CORPG (Co-operative RPG) with no subscription fees, and really fun PVP.
Well Guild Wars 2 is on the horizon, and BOY does that game look good.
Following the same pattern of having no subscription fees this game is going to take place 250 years later, on the content of Tyria.
The game is based around the same fast paced combat, with a few small changes ofc.
Here's a cool trailer to get you in the mood for it.
*Note: Everything is real time, Even though it looks like A cutscene, it's gameplay.
