So to quickly add to my mini review from before..
I've had work everyday since the the first day it came out where I got a nice 12 hour binge on it. I've only been able to play a few hours each night but I've spent this time trying out Thief and Guardian and checking out the other starter zones.
I like how each class has different skill sets for different weapon types but at the same time I don't really like how there is only 5 or so skills for each setup and you can learn them all for each weapon in a matter of minutes. Then the actual skills are over on the other side of the bar. I'm finding the game to be very active with the dodging and skill usage which I like but I can't keep up on the # keys for skills. I like playing 11 and 14 with a controller. I find it awkward to have to feel/look and peck at those # keys I don't use all the time.
Again I dig the underwater stuff. There isn't a lot of it but they did put detail underwater so it usually looks wonderful. I hope there is like a whole zone that is mostly water with big water monsters.
Thief has felt awkward to play. Only because I'd like to dual wield daggers but the stealthy attacks seem awkward to use. I found pistol/dagger to be more effective. Guardian I did last night and felt pretty good. The weapon skill sets seemed pretty effective and I found myself settled on the 2h Hammer for the evening. Haven't found 2h sword yet.
That's about it for now. Too much stuff to type.
