Join Linkshells

Hi just wondering if it were possible to make it easier for people to join Linkshells. It is always cryptic and hidden how to actually join Linkshells I'm already in on this site and the community site. I'm aware you can't do anything about the community site, but you can make it easier on the AH site.

If you go to the Linkshell section in your menu you can add a new Linkshell. This is good but, can't there be a join Linkshell option as well? Would make things a lot simpler. Seems like creating Linkshells is something that happens relatively fewer times than people joining a Linkshell, so it should be easier to join a Linkshell then create one. Currently I don't think that this is the case.

Another thing that would be helpful is lots of times I use the Linkshell search function which works well, but there is no way of joining from this page. Would be useful to have a "Join Linkshell" button on the Linkshell home page.

well, kinda much harder than it sounds since joining a linkshell isnt really as easy as just clicking a button at the bottom of the page.

Every linkshell is different, with different rules, methods, and leaders for how they decide to run things. You may not be a good fit for certain linkshells, and in that same fashion, the linkshell you choose to join may not fit your needs.

Most solid, long-standing linkshells have proper websites with this type of information available to the public in order to obtain new recruits. All you gotta do is look for it.

However, I agree that it can be difficult at times to not only find a linkshell's website, but it may not be familiar or easy to navigate, and many times recruitment information is simply not available. FFXIAH is a great place to begin rectifying that, as a linkshell's recruitment status and information could be made more available right here on FFXIAH. This site could also be used as an application source, allowing players to fill in an application template and submit it to linkshells for review.

Think you misunderstood me. I'm not looking for new Linkshells to join. I'm trying to register on the AH site Linkshells I'm already in, in the game.

I believe that the way you used to do it was under the character section, but I don't see the linkshell list there anymore, but putting it under the character section is counter intuitive in my opinion. The most logical place to look for where I can join my linkshells would be in the linkshell section don't you think ?

Although your reply wasn't really in response to what I was trying to express, I think you have some good ideas as well that could expand on my idea and make it easier for people trying to be recruited into new linkshells, thanks!

You have to join your LS on SE's LS Community website (leader must create the community first). From there, FFXIAH will either eventually scan the LS lists and add you, or you need to ask someone already on the LS list to go to the LS page (on this website), and they will see a yellow box near the top that says something along the lines of


Clicking on "Queue For Update" will force FFXIAH to reparse LSC's list and it will automatically add you.

This is to prevent people from falsely claiming to be in other linkshells.

Ya i get that, but seems to be just putting that problem off on the community site. Some checking will have to be done there too. Seems like just handing off the problem to the community site, which is even more of a pain to navigate then this site. So not a very good solution either in my opinion.

Since this is the suggestions forums I was just suggesting an attempt to be made to make it easier for the users of the site. Didn't really mean to be a support issue asking how to do stuff. Thanks for you input though as well.

Using the LSC is rather easy, I'm not sure what difficulty your actually having with it.
