But you know what just for fun let's analyze Warwick for what he is
For this I'm going to be splitting his pros and cons up in different categories just to organize everything
Jungle:
Pros: -High Sustain
-Incredible 1v1
-Suppression Post-6
Cons: -Extremely slow clear
-Terrible ganks pre-6
His Cons outweigh his pros in the jungle. The High sustain just doesn't mean anything in the jungle anymore, so being able to start with 3 pots (*** stupid to bring up.
Never going to be considered a strength) or not needing smite (Worst idea ever, people who do it on any jungler are Morons,
NO EXCEPTIONS) is not going to be weighed here. He has amazing 1v1, you need ignite to even try to fight him, meaning if you fight in the jungle you're going to win, unless it's more than a 1v1. He has the Suppression past level 6 but before that he's pretty much useless and needs to just farm the jungle, which I wouldn't say is that bad but he has terrible wave clear and isn't a carry jungler, so he can't hit level 6 super fast and he won't be a hypercarry late game unlike Hecarim.
Laning:
Pros: -Amazing Sustain
-Great 1v1
-Steroids
Cons:-Useless Move Speed Buff
-Lack of CC
-Low Kill Potential
-mana issues
His laning phase is decent due to all of the sustain that he has innately and that pretty much means you win every trade unless they are a ranged champion. He has a really good 1v1 for lane, so if the enemy jungle doesn't show up you can try to zone or bully, but due to his low kill potential people may just ignore you. He has the lack of CC unless he has his ultimate, meaning that if someone ganks for you pre-6 you're pretty much a fiora without a gap close (see: useless). Post-6 you can gank for him and his kill potential gets a little better, but just because you have your ult doesnt mean you're getting that kill every time. He also has some mana issues if you use more than 1 or 2 spells you're probably going to be out of mana. And don't get me started on that useless move speed steroid he has. You have to be below a certain amount of health for it to activate and its range is really low until higher levels, and it doesnt do much besides give you some vision and move speed, and that isn't a lot for how situational it is
Team Fight:
Pros: -Suppression
-Tanky
-Sustain
-AoE Attack Speed buff
-Sustain
Cons: -Suppression (ended when you CC him, CC available to A LOT of people these days)
-useless move speed buff(in team fights)
-Lack of CC other than ult
-Lack of gap close other than ult
-DPS lower than other bruisers(he has more of a bruiser kit than a tank kit)
The highlights of his team fight are that he has some decent zoning potential for enemy AD carries. This is due to the fact that he deals some damage (not really bursty so it's more an annoyance) and due to his ultimate which is amazing when you catch someone out but can be awful if anyone on the enemy team is near by because if the enemy's support sneezes it can end his ultimate. The other highlight worth mentioning is his AoE Attack Speed Buff, this can be amazing in team fights, but can usually be meh due to the fact that it's going to be helping your ADC the most and you should be diving the enemy ADC in team fights. He also has tankyness (just like everybody else) and the sustain which helps make him tanky
Then there is the lack of CC that he has other than his ultimate, and the lack of gap close other than his ultimate. Those 2 things are really big because he has more of a bruiser kit than a tank kit, he's more designed to kill a target but lacks much to make him more important to target than someone else. And he has a completely useless ability in team fights, as well as a not amazing DPS (wouldn't be an issue if he was more of a tank)
Split Push:
Pros: -Amazing 1v1
-Suppression
Cons: -Lack of Escapes
-Lack of Wave Clear
-Lack of Global Presence
And while split pushing he has the Amazing 1v1 mainly due to his suppression which is an awesome quality in split pushers
But he also has like no escapes which is fine if you have good global presence like TF or Shen but he doesn't... so that's bad
And he has literally no wave clear, which means when he does split push he isn't going that fast.
So overall warwick just doesn't do much. In team fights he is more of a nuisance and its the same when split pushing. And where do you put him? If you're playing him I would do it in lane. His laning phase is honestly the best part about him. His jungle sucks. That's all that needs to be said about it.
