OMFG LOL my first real Pentakill in my third game with Akali.

I accidentally built WotA, wanted to build gunblade and messed up and decided to just roll with it.
Here's the rune solution I came up with, start out with spell vamp passive and get magic damage bonus by level 7. Which is okay, I don't go for kills til I'm Lv6 anyways.

You'd build him just like any other ranged AD carry.

When there's a Varus on my team he's trash. When there's a Varus on the other team he's god.
There's almost always a Varus on both teams. This is what I hate about new patches.

He's got like no HP early on, but his massive range makes him a pain in the *** to deal with. He's even hard for me to catch and murder with Poppy. 500~600 movement speed.

any support with good cc like leona/alistar/blitz can shutdown varus and prevent him from farming well cuz of his low movement speed gives him a huge disadvantage from trying to get away.
supports like soraka/sona/karma aren't that great at keeping him at bay tho imo

If you start with boots and pots, it's pretty easy to escape as long as you play cautiously, which you should be when playing against champs with such CC.

Not a good idea to harass with your Q imho. Especially since in the beginning it's so costly for your mana. If you can work up the blight stacks, sure go for it. But otherwise harassing with Q seems silly given you should be worried about farming more so than killing in early stages.

if you can nail someone with his q with no damage reduction then it hurts a lot. can take someone from full and drop them down to 60%-ish health (depending on your runes) at lvl 1

yes and no, depends on how much the enemy team is actually trying to shut you down
Black Cleaver Reduces armor at a cap of 45 while Last whisper will reduce it by 45.2 for you when they hit 113 armor
Though black cleaver does help your team mates do more damage as it is actual armor reduction instead of armor pen for just you
So basically like I said, it depends on how the enemy team is building against you

Depends on a few things. If you're fed, sometimes it just doesn't matter. If the other team is fed, it can be a trade off. Surviving a little longer vs. dishing out that extra damage to take down an additional champ or two. For Poppy, I roll total glass cannon, just because she's really really weak defensively. If I can get in an extra 2-3 swings with a 3rd PD (And near capped crit rate), it can be the difference between taking out the most dangerous champ for my team, or getting taken down myself, whether by CC or just incoming damage. Poppy's ace in the hole is her Ult though, which lets her survive minimum of 10 seconds 5v1.

true, if i'm snowballing hardcore and i haven't died and i got fullstacks yeah i'll get a GA, if theres anyone on the other team with uber cc. i'll get a qss. but if my team's rockin thats what i like to do, cuz of the really high crit chance/attackspeed/ad
edit: although it will vary depending on the ad carry i got to play with. i wouldn't do this with someone who has a steroid like graves/mf/trist but for champs like cait/ashe it works pretty well and if you pick your targets right, you can't die cuz of the life steal

sometimes opponents will be smart enough to target you and kill you as fast as possible, and sometimes the lifesteal wont save you in those situations

Might save you, might not. Lets you get back into the fight quicker if you just go murder some neutral creeps instead of recalling though. And while farming creeps earlier in the round, you're less extended.

So I got enough IP to get a 3150 champ and I was looking at gangplank. Anyone play with him at all or have any other suggestions for the 3150 IP champs? Thanks
