Not sure if they've nerfed it, but always consider Will of the Ancients on AP champs. I guess Morg has her passive vamp. though. I usually buy a RoA too. The extra health helps keep her alive during her ult.
I like to build Rylai's for AP champs I need survivability on, with the exception of Lux. For Ahri it's nice if you're being chased, just hit your W to make an easy escape in most cases. Morg is pretty cool with it because you can put down your W and slow everyone chasing you (not to mention it helps land your bind better)
We've already observed that in an ideal fight, Udyr wants to hit a button every single opportunity. With no cooldown reduction, this is out-and-out impossible, and represents a DPS loss. Secondly, we know very well that a big chunk of our DPS comes from the Tiger activation, so it logically follows that more Tiger activations = more damage. Still, I'll show my work.
If you hit Tiger once per 6 seconds, at level cap and with the item build listed above, you're looking at about 655 damage per 6 seconds, or 109 DPS. If you get the blue golem buff (17.5% CDR), you've got a five second cycle, which means you could just press Q-W-E-R repeat, accounting for the GCD and reasonable latency; this boosts the Tiger proc to 131 DPS. If you've got CDR runes and a Brutalizer on top of that, you can move on to Q-W-R-Q-E-R Repeat (assuming a Bear Charge initiate), which bumps the Tiger proc to 163.75 DPS. Upgrade Brutalizer to Ghostblade and you're up to 182 DPS; it's an exponential gain until you hit the cap. For comparative purposes, you'd need another 77 AD to match the damage bonus you get to the Tiger activation just for the first 10% of CDR and 257 AD to match the full 40% CDR. I know it's an apples to oranges comparison, since I'm not figuring autoattack damage, which is a messy thing to calculate because it depends on your AS. Even assuming a 1.5 AS, which is a bit generous but compares well against the 40% reduction, the math is as follows. 4 attacks in 3.5 seconds plus a larger Tiger proc means that you'd have to buy and charge a Bloodthirster to roughly equal the damage gain that you get from a Ghostblade, some runes, and the blue buff. Last I checked, Youmu's Glostblade is an awful lot cheaper than Bloodthirster, and doesn't lose stacks on a death, and this all doesn't count the armor penetration of the Ghostblade. And yes, I know that you could just get a Bloodthirster and the Blue buff, but in doing so you've just proven my point for me: CDR is great for Udyr
not entirely an argument for spirit visage, but shows why CDR things like it > flat out AD.
..... so you spent that much gold for some cdr and mr? And if you are top lane on udyr.... you are saying to get that right away? I'd assume that you would go pots and some boots (depending on situation like which champ if you gotta dodge skill shots, or running from ganks) to start. After that you would get your wrigles or any life steal... by that time you built into spirits... full spirits.. you have T2 boots, and Wrigles (especially jungling) you should be done with lane phase almost always.
So what sustain would you need that you aren't getting off wrigles that you can't get something more worth it to fit a slot. You could say it's only 1550 gold... I could say get a Heart of gold and negatron cape... which you can build both into core items on udyr. Also HoG gives you gp5.. which is beneficial. Turtle stance doesn't have the regen needed to say it's worth having. Which btw... is the only time you are getting the benefit off it from him. Unlike mundo or ww who have passives that heal them non-stop, and or abilities that they can spam that will get them healing to justify it.
Coming in late to the party on this just food for thought.
*edited kinda late* if you are jungling.. you will have blue anyways... which you should be counter jungling to take away from their mid lane and or jungler if not right away on their 2nd one or attempting) if you aren't then grab yours for yourself especially if your mid can't grab it.
I go full on damage with Poppy unless I have to worry about CC, myself. I don't last long, but I take 1-2 of them with me, in games where we're grossly outmatched.
Also, I played Evelynn for the first time. Was... interesting.

Has anyone here at least given this game a try or plays it? I enjoy it a lot for what it's worth. It's a MOBA-style game and it's completely FREE unless you want to buy skins(merely aesthetic) for champions. All the champions are well-balanced and can be purchased with Influence Points earned from matches.
