I've seen a Tryn with cleanse rip through the enemy Nexus solo, with all 5 enemy champs beating on him.

i guess thats where ive been going wrong, i end up going back and forward with someone at the turrets and getting killed. but when there are 2 at up and down and 1 at mid, where do you farm? i never really have this problem with anivia because people are so afraid of her, they usually dont bother me, and if they do, it dosent usually end well for them. either early mid or late game

Farm at the spot you're zoned into, just don't over-extend yourself going for kills you can't achieve, or setting up elaborate ganks. Farm, but don't push. Auto-attacking pushes the lane. Snipe the kill shots and you'll only push your lane forward a little. Ranged ADs will harass you, and it sucks, but some will foolishly push their lane, over-extending themselves, which gives you your best opportunity to secure a kill, or your jungler to gank.

does getting last hits give you extra xp/gold? or is that purpose to slow down the push enough for another wave of minions to get to you

When you kill a creep, you get gold. Last-hitting is letting the creeps kill each other until the final hit, which you snag, getting the gold. This way you aren't pushing your lane because the creep would've died anyway, but you snared the gold. This also stalls for the next creep wave to come, from both sides, which is beneficial if you aren't pushing.

it depends on the game with tryn
i'll either just last hit or i'll play aggressive as hell (depends who the junglers are, who im laning against, and who their mid is)

they didnt surrender because 2 of my team members were pretty worthless, so it was 3 vs 5, but that guy was just mudstomping everyone.

I rarely surrender, so I can see where they're coming from, but if he went 56 kills, he must have been either drawing the game out or they were fending him off from the turrets/nexus for quite a long time.

ok they dont stack with each other's ability power or?
edit: at that point i did it for the armor+ability power mainly, lol was getting pretty rough 4v5

Using one Zhonya's triggers the cool down of both of them.
For Deathcap's, it's just the 30% bonus that doesn't stack. You get one 30% bonus and that's it. I think a Guardian Angel would be a better defensive item at that point.

On the topic, what the best option is if you're looking for extreme AP numbers (really not ideal in most cases though) is stacking Archangel's staves while having a single deathcap. The Unique Passive of up to +1000 mana from casting doesn't stack, but the +3% of mana in AP does. When you hit about 3000 mana, a single Archangel's staff will give more AP than a second deathcap. The only champ I find this useful on is Lux, since you can sit behind your team at a safe distance and shoop da whoop. Maybe Karthus could get some use out of that too.

I've done 5x Archangel's + a Deathcap on Karthus. Was fun, but I didn't have boots so I was slow as hell and all I'd really do is flash in the middle of the other team, turn on defile, die, and then ult.
I think that's the highest you'll get, I think I was over 1200 maybe? or maybe 1100.

With my rune page's +51@18, I managed around 1300 on Ahri with 4 AA staves, Lich Bane, and Deathcap.
Actually a really funny late game combo for a skillshot champ to backdoor, lol... 3-shot turrets.
By volkom 2012-04-10 07:33:16
I like my magic pen before I stack the big ap items
By Rhaokin 2012-04-10 08:17:39
I usually only use Sorcerer's Shoes, unless I actually see someone stacking MR. Usually the people I need to kill as an AP carry don't, though.
On the other hand, I found an article somewhere saying that the higher the enemy's MR is the less effective (though marginally) stacking Magic Penetration becomes vs. Ability Power in damage output.

Most champs don't have scaling MR, which means that the sorc. shoes will usually be enough to put them close to 0. I find doing math in LoL to be a waste of time (Why the hell is math underlined in red?). There are far too many variables and usually item builds are too static. Finding the optimal balance is too difficult.

Has anyone here at least given this game a try or plays it? I enjoy it a lot for what it's worth. It's a MOBA-style game and it's completely FREE unless you want to buy skins(merely aesthetic) for champions. All the champions are well-balanced and can be purchased with Influence Points earned from matches.
