Normally people with higher elo have a better understanding of the games mechanics than the average player. People with over 1500 ELO are in the top 3% of the player base if that means anything. I do think ELO is indicative of skill, but considering you're playing with randoms, and only once, you may just be playing with people who are having that one terrible game. I'll admit, in the few ranked games I've done I have been outplayed
but More times than not i've had feeders in other lanes, or times when me carrying just wasn't enough if the ELO system wasn't somewhat HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE (I mean if you have a sion jungling without smite who just feeds you shouldn't lose ELO -_- like ***) then maybe it would correlate to skill, but i've seen shitty players get carried and have been brought down by feeders in games I want to buy another champ, 4800 IP set. Something away from AP assassin/carry and AD ranged.

If you're looking for a solo top champ and those are your choices, I'd go with Irelia from what I hear. She has a great laning phase because of her sustain. Once she hits 6, she can trade and go for the kill very well. She can carry games provided she's farmed. She did receive a nerf but I still believe she's top tier solo top material. I have no idea what I'm doing. How do I figure out what weapons and armor is best to buy? When I'm beyond level 5, will my chap die less?

well you can build him tankplank, critplank, glassplank(which is basically critplank), triplank, jungleplank
i mean he has a lot of different builds i like using them all :p also i added you >: the *** o_o
this game is complex! When I logon I'll accept. well i mean crit plank basically focuses on crits
tank plank builds a little tanky triplank builds triforce (its basically my tankplank) glassplank (My other build) is like critplank with other things like BT and *** and jungleplank just needs wriggles for jungling I ended up buying Jarvan. Just because I love the Demacian champs, and people say Irelia is harder to play. I really love Jarvan so far, me + Lulu just dominated Olaf + Fiora at top (neither team had a jungler)
Also, do you guys think Katarina's Shunpo is OP? I don't because it has fairly limited range. Anyone with a stun can get out of range easily. Not to mention said stun shuts down what her shunpo is REALLY good for... Death Lotus. This team had only 2 snares and no other real CC, but adamantly claimed that I was very OP.  2 deaths from internet problems causing no response in-game -.-
