What do you think the best general earring combination for BLU is and why?
(I got Bushi, - kind of want to know if Suppanomimi is best/essential)
Thanks!

Suppa/Brutal for TP and generally also for WS. Nothing else comes close to Suppa as a companion for Brutal on BLU, really... 4-5 acc, 5 attack, and a fairly significant increase to your TP phase damage via DW. It's a Hollow, Spike, and DW+5% earring all in one.
Physical spells it depends, generally STR+3x2 or maybe Suppa/STR+3. Everything else depends, there's quite a few of use for nukes, debuffs, cures, and general utility.

What would the best substitute for Suppanomimi be?
(Assuming using Brutal for one ear.)

Hmm, say
These are your ear slots:
Ear slot: 1 : Brutal Earring
Ear slot: 2 : (X)
Where X cannot equal Suppanomimi.
What is the best representation of X.
Triumph earring? Ethereal earring? Hollow earring?
(I see a few Ethereal BLU's)

For tping I'd always do brutal/suppa.
I wouldn't get or use ethereal for blu.
For spells double str usually maybe putting in suppa and/or hollow in spell set. Same for most ws except Vorpal blade then same but put str 2nd.
Nukes are a mixed bag. Alot of them have base dmgs so low and/or stat mods so high that even a 2-3 int or mnd earring can sometimes even beat novio on some spells.
Curing I'd do -emnity and maybe magnetic if you got
Debuffs the 5macc/mab set.
Buffs magnetic and whatever
loq for precast on any spell that takes more than .5 sec to cast

To answer your actual question, look into Sarabande or Diabolos' earring. Both offer ACC if you don't have Suppa or Hollow, such as myself.

Yes since you have Bushi, for TP i'd go with the suggestions Prothescar suggested, both fairly easy to get. Pair either with brutal. I changed out my Bushi for Suppa a few months back, and I am happy about the change.

Suppa/Brutal 100% of the time for tping if you have it. Also Suppa/Brutal for WSs.
Suppa/Wyvern if you're /DRG, which is one of the best Blue Mage subs for damage atm.
If you don't have Suppa and aren't /DRG, Brutal/Ethereal or Brutal/Aesir Ear-Pendant are good TP options.
STR earring for spells, always.

I like to go Suppa/hollow for Big 3. Like the added acc and dex mod. I use brutal/suppa for TPing in.

Extra Accuracy on spells is usually overkill, with spells' ACC bonus and merits + sushi, a full on STR/DEX build should have you at cap for everything but THFs, and STR does more for spells than DEX.

This. Here's what I use:
It's not amazing, but it's better than most. I haven't been a BLU for very long, but I've worked on getting a few key pieces, mostly soloed them on RDM (notably the Enkidu's/Koggel/AF+1 Mats). Still need some upgrades like Denali/Setanta's for feet, Cuchalain's for back, Kubira Bead Necklace for neck, Gnadbod's for head, Triumph Earrings, etc.
I really don't see why people have a hard time gearing BLU up.

That voyager's reminds me. Nightfyre, do some math for me and work out if my relic head is hitting any higher damage modifiers at level 80, or if I should finally go get a voyager's. At least now I can most probably just waltz in and solo it lol.

It does, barely. 5 skill is exactly the amount needed to hit the D37 tier with merits and AF body at 80.
EDIT: Dasva: Sho confirmed a damage increase at 337 skill using VCleave, it's in the BLU thread on BG.
doubleEDIT: fSTR cap increased too, it's 23 at 80. Change probably occurs at 79.

What about without merits? I'm horrible with how tiers and fSTR and all that work, some things I just never fully understood unfortunately.

By the way you were going about it, I mean D77...

(301+15)*0.11=34.76
So yes, at 80 without merits it gives you a skill tier.

You forgot that there's a x2 in that formula guy.
floor(Skill*0.11)*2 + 3
Relic hat is nothing special even when it does break a damage tier, because there are other hats that add more than 2 base damage.

Why do the rest of it when the bit in parenthesis is all that's necessary to demonstrate a skill tier? Waste of time.

So assuming AF2 hat does break a D tier, assuming all hits land, is it better than any other hat? Or do some beat it (such as Maat's/Gnadbod's)? Or is that all dependant on your other gear?

Hollow or Aesir, as a substitue for it depending on what you need, though personally Id go with Brutal/Loquac if Suppa isnt an option.

If the DEX on either piece contributes needed acc, they'll easily pull ahead.

Oh right, we're off topic. For TP, Brutal/Suppa is unbeatable. Otherwise, Aesir, Hollow, Ethereal, Diabolos's, Merman's, Spike, Sarabande all work in place of Suppa.
Loquacious for buffs, Head Butt, and Utsu. I suppose you can figure out other spots to put it in, like enfeebs and what not if you don't have the MACC/MATK+5 set.
Wyvern Earring for when you're /DRG.
Minuet, Hollow, Diabolos's, Suppa, Triumph, those new STR+3 earrings, Pixie, all work for physical spells.
For WS, I use Brutal/Suppa, but Brutal/Whatever you have will work fine.
I feel like all of this has been mentioned, in fact it probably already has.
What do you think the best general earring combination for BLU is and why?
