Processor: Intel Q8400 Quadcore 2,66Ghz 4mo
Graphic card: Radeon 5830

Think it could work for FFXIV?
I know nothing about computer stuff but a friend of mine could "build" me one :o so i'm looking for good price/quality things ...

Any thoughts?

I would wait until the game in near release. New hardware/lower prices should be available then.

yeah i don't trust that bench at all. i scored lower than 500 on low, and my PC is barely 3 months old.

Until NVidia's fermi cards drop in price, i would stick with ATI's 58xx series. If you want to buy an Intel core, pay the few extra bucks and get an i7 core. As it stands, there really isn't anything in the market for desktop PCs that can out perform it yet.

Well from the benchmark an 8800GT won't be that good. and to be completely honest the 8800gt is going to be outdated for a lot of higher end games.

if your sticking to nvidia cards id look at the 200gtx series... A 275gtx is a good higher-middle card can be bought around $200.

altho that being said, the benchmark seems to be VERY processor heavy. I would definatly recomend an i7, or at a minimum i5 processor if your building a new pc.
