So other classes = Why?
Honestly, I would really think differently if all there was was Jedi/Sith to pick as playable class(Or a total absence of, but then it wouldn't be Star Wars), but having to Balance a Sith or Jedi with something stupid like a Smuggler, means that even if you just buff the Smuggler, part of the "Omg JEDI!" Factor is lost, because Lolsmuggler just whooped your *** with Spice from Kessel or some ***.
So a THF is on par with a SAM of the same lvl and gear?
That argument would hold some ground if people were actually considering the Star Wars MMO for anything other than the license it represents.
But assuming the mechanics have you so inclined as to play the game, then no, you're absolutely right, balance is an issue with all MMO. This is not news, however it's only exacerbated in the Star Wars MMO's, because, except in name, it's [probably] the same ***as all the rest before it.
And please trust me when I'm saying, I'm not baaawwing over this just cause I want to protect my FFXI stick in the mud, (Or the newer FFXIV stick) the way I see it, someone is going to get my subsription fee, but if I'm gonna pick an MMO, it's going to be based off the mechanic design/community integrity and game depth, rather than what skin they choose to trow over it.
Saw Goldeneye Trailer btw, Awesomesauce.
One thing I REALLY loved about Goldeneye, was the difficulty scaling. From Agent to 00Agent(Lol I bet you guys thought I didn't play it) sure, the enemies get stronger, but the additional Objectives is what made it REALLY worth playing on 00. The chemical Plant mission in particular, son of a *** was that a toughy on 00 (Mind you I was like 11 at the time), Archive as well, on 00 was a *** nightmare.
All criticism aside, I definitely consider Goldeneye, to this day, no less than a thousand times better than Halo, but still, aside from cementing the fact that FPS can be played on on a Console (even more impressive since you had to deal with that horrible R(Shoulder) aiming ***) and still enjoyed.
