It is what it is? But that's the rub... It's only that way because we just kinda throw our hands up and utter those words like we are powerless... Maybe on these boards and such because more than anything someone's just throwing another turd at someone else...
I think this election is proof that we can make a change when the people are motivated enough to stand up regardless if that change is for our own good or just cuz we're pissed off and willing to burn ourselves to the ground with everyone else...
Well, we have the motivation for the Trump ticket... but what's the motivation for the Clinton ticket? She's not the best choice for the Democrats' own good, and she's not the burn-it-all-down option either. It's the it is what it is... This is our candidate and we will vote for her because we have no real choice... people who feel trapped and like they have no choice but to elect Clinton... It's like slore in the last page how he feels a vote for trump is a vote for the lesser evil... Plus there are always people that will vote d or r no matter what...
As for trump he's just a wild card with what appears to be a complete disregard for anyone or anything besides himself... Clinton is just a tad bit better at not being so outrageous publicly but I can't say she looks at us normies with any less contempt than trump does... Trump doesn't give a ***about anyone but himself and Hillary will sell her soul to get what she wants regardless...

she's not the burn-it-all-down option either.
she kind of is in the "well... *** you then!" in a direct response to the last eight years of the current sixteen year long congressional *** fest....
there is no way in hell any republican would ever do anything but wipe their *** spit on any proposal from President HRC
a vote for her guarantees another four years at least of ted "the zodiac killer" cruz reading green eggs and ham to shut down the government Sam I am... Pretty much... Idk how either of them could get congress to rally around any of their causes or agendas... Trump is already battling most of the repubs too before he's even in..

I think it's naive to think that either committee doesn't go in with a relatively inflexible strategy with what candidate or type of candidate their going to push for. The support for Bernie needed for a change in strategic direction just wasn't there. He was always lagging behind Clinton. Rigging would have been overkill.

The guys the rnc wanted to win didn't even come close and the one the dnc backed beat Bernie out as it was getting closer...
Just creates an improper perception at the very least and at worst just sets the dnc up as people who are out to promote what they want rather than letting the people speak... Possibly working against their base which is pretty *** awful...

He couldn't win due to the superdelegates ***, and most primaries locked people out of voting. It was a bs system made to make it so no one could hijack it from Clinton.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2016/10/11/donald-trump-hillary-clinton-paul-ryan-shackles/91891944/
Quote: WASHINGTON — Donald Trump all but declared war on the Republican establishment Tuesday, blasting House Speaker Paul Ryan for his criticism and vowing to campaign as he sees fit.
it is so nice that the shackles have been taken off me and I can now fight for America the way I want to," Trump said during a morning tweet storm that targeted Ryan and other Republicans.
Later, the Republican presidential nominee tweeted: "Disloyal R's are far more difficult than Crooked Hillary. They come at you from all sides. They don’t know how to win — I will teach them!"
Trump's attacks on Ryan and other Republicans underscore a massive breach within the party, one that makes it even harder for the GOP to hold control of the Senate and perhaps the House, not to mention winning the presidency.
"The GOP has a suicide bomber as their nominee," said Texas-based political consultant Matt Mackowiak.
Trump erupted a day after Ryan told House Republicans he would no longer defend or campaign with the GOP nominee in the wake of the fallout over a tape in which Trump is heard making vulgar comments about women.
"Our very weak and ineffective leader, Paul Ryan, had a bad conference call where his members went wild at his disloyalty," Trump tweeted Tuesday.
Ryan's office responded with a terse statement: "Paul Ryan is focusing the next month on defeating Democrats, and all Republicans running for office should probably do the same."
Since the Friday release of a 2005 recording showing Trump making lewd comments about women, a steady stream of Republicans have called on him to exit the race. Meanwhile, new polls show Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton building a steady lead over Trump, both nationally and in key battleground states.
In addition to Ryan, Trump lashed out Tuesday at a prominent Republican who pulled his endorsement, 2008 presidential nominee John McCain. Tweeted Trump: "The very foul mouthed Sen. John McCain begged for my support during his primary (I gave, he won), then dropped me over locker room remarks!"
Trump has also responded to the political storm by stepping up his attacks on Democratic rival Hillary Clinton and her husband, former president Bill Clinton. He has spotlighted women who have accused Bill Clinton of sexual harassment and assaults and claimed that Hillary Clinton tried to silence them.
Tuesday morning, though, Trump aimed most of his fire at his own party.
"Despite winning the second debate in a landslide (every poll), it is hard to do well when Paul Ryan and others give zero support!" Trump said as part of his Tuesday tweet storm.
Trump has also suggested that more tapes of him could still be coming, and that he is prepared to respond in kind.
"If they want to release more tapes saying inappropriate things, we'll continue to talk about Bill and Hillary Clinton doing inappropriate things," Trump said in Ambridge, Pa., Monday.
Some Republicans warn the growing civil war within the GOP will have ramifications well beyond the Nov. 8 election.
Rick Tyler, a former spokesman for Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, defined the GOP split as one between "the establishment and some principled conservatives" against what he called the "Breitbart Wing" of the party, named for the conservative news website. Steve Bannon, a long-time Breitbart executive, is a top adviser to Trump and has been a frequent critic of the current Republican leadership, saying they have been ineffective in battling President Obama's administration, as well as the Clintons.
"The Trump campaign knows they are going to lose and are consolidating his base to create a lucrative post-election anti-Hillary organization," Tyler said. "That same organization will blame the establishment for the loss and attempt to take over the GOP from the RNC (Republican National Committee) down."
Democrats, and some Republicans, said Trump has spent too much time appealing to white males who are opposed to free trade, suspicious of globalism, and resentful of what they call "open border" immigration policies. Meanwhile, his critics say Trump is ignoring and even alienating growing segments of the electorate, notably women and Hispanics.
Mackowiak said the potential damage to the Republican Party is impossible to calculate, especially if Trump loses the Nov. 8 election big and takes the Republican Senate and House with him.
"The brand damage Trump may do to the GOP could last an entire generation," he said.
Trump says he is building a "movement" of people who have been sold out by an establishment that has backed job-killing trade deals and does not care about illegal immigration. In a Monday speech in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Trump vowed to press on during the last month of the election.
"I'm going to make three, four, five stops a day," Trump said. "I may be limping across that finish line, but we're going to get across that finish line."
And so it begins...

Well, here's the thing. I don't put a lot of confidence in Trump pulling this off, but if post-tape pre-debate polling is any indication he's pretty much at the same spot as he was a month ago, which isn't anywhere near his lowest point. People seem to be blowing out of proportion how much his voters are abandoning him for his remarks, when mostly it's just the Republican establishment out to save their own skins.
The biggest thing to come of this is that Hillary is at a high point. Trump somehow is weathering the storms with only scratches (as usual), and it remains to be seen how well Hillary would be able to weather a serious October surprise. There could be nothing major, but seeing as how a news organization was willing to sit on the Trump tape for 11 years, you never know what will pop up.

I don't know how you can say he is at the same spot he was a month ago in the polls, when in mid-September he was leading or tied in a lot of battleground states, trending up, and now he the only state that I can see him still leading in that can be considering a battleground state is Iowa. The rest of the states he has either lost the lead or fallen further behind, specifically North Carolina, Colorado, Nevada, and even Arizona. And of course, the state he has to win, Pennsylvania, he is back down to almost a 9 point deficit. So I really don't know where you see him being in the same position he was a month ago, even 2 weeks ago.
