I probably won't play for a month since all the marbles will clutter my inventory to the point of not being able to do anything. Can't wait.

So I've never used mules for these bonanza's before. It seems pretty simple though. I just need to activate a bunch of content ID's on my account, send money to those level 1 characters, buy marbles, and then if I win anything, just send it to my main and then I can deactivate. Am I missing anything?
I'm hoping for a mythic just like everyone else, but I at least want to give myself the best chance of getting an ark scythe.
There is usually a minimum required number of days the character needs to be active before it's eligible to participate. In this case, it's 32 days. And since the contest ends at 12 AM on the 28th... I'm very sorry but I hope you did this already. :(
32 days since the creation of the character, not 32 days active.

The reason I don't like the original Mog Bonanza is- what do you do if you win a R1/R2 prize on a mule? Take the gil, I guess? You can't mail a mythic between characters, unfortunately, nor a cat's eye. win r1 on mule = gil if enough, or just take the 10,000 curency peice.

Gil isn't worth it, it's split to all winners for Rank 1. If your mule is on the same account just choose a mythic. You can move the mythic to the main. Unless I'm misinformed and can't do that?

Unless we can't then that sucks. Would of been pretty awesome though.

It's a quested item, so typically no (in this case that's a no). Just like you can't move relics, and AF1 armor.

If you just want the gil why not choose kraken club which is worth more?

How the *** is 100mil gil not worth it? Last time was 90mil I think but there will be more people for this one since SoA is almost here.

Because the gil is split upon Rank 1 winners and you can get Kraken Club which is basically worth that much.

Is it "split" even if only 1 person chooses the option for gil? Be funny to see someone go straight to capped gil from it lol

No reason it wouldn't be. Since the prize distribution for Bonanza is done by an NPC it's not like they have any way of keeping track of it either.
Don't get why people are complaining about the prize pools, at least when in comparison to bonanzas they've done in the past. This doesn't seem worse than any of the other Bonanzas they've done before. Bonanza has pretty much always been a case where something like 80% of the prizes don't make any sense in the rank they're in.

Cat's Eye and Empyrean Armor ticket being in the same rank isn't just "not making sense," it's pretty egregiously nonsensical.

500+m valued item or piece of gear I can farm in 2hrs with 3 people. Seems pretty equal to me.

Currency being rank 1 alongside relics makes sense when you examine it from the proper angle. Ridill is out of place, but whatever.
Cat's Eye being rank 2 makes perfect sense, but the other items in that rank don't.

I'm not saying it makes sense, but it isn't any dumber than some of the ***they've pulled in the past, like when they put Twilight Armor and Alkalurops in the same category as Cat's Eye too. Putting aside the typical stupid stuff they put in every rank, there's at least one decent item to take away from every rank (Rank 3 has Pulse Cell: Co and Mu which are both worth like 5M+, at least), so while I'm all for laughing at how absurdly stupid some of the choices are, I don't see any reason to complain about the pools overall.
BTW the JP version says the EA ticket trade it for the full set of 5 pieces, not that that makes it any better.

Pretty much the entirety of rank 3 makes no sense, only item that's reasonably worth a place there is the Murasamemaru cell simply because it's worth so much money right now. Full bodies/weapons would have been more reasonable imo :|

As much I would've loved getting Hexed-1 and Pulses on there, given that way in the past they liked sticking stuff like Dalmatica +1 and such in rank 1, I wouldn't be surprised if they had stuck pulses in rank 2 and then stuck hexed-1 in rank 1 if they were in there at all. If that happened, pretty much everyone would still pick mythic/cat's eye.

You would think that, but a Yoichi won the last bonanza when Mythics were an option.

I guess in all fairness, if his ONLY job was rng, it wasn't bad. I mean if he doesn't like guns, and the mythic xbow is ***...

Well I was more saying that the kind of players that would understand the value of each item in the ranks would still get mythic/cat's eye.
The guy that won the Yoichi was a SAM IIRC. I always assumed the guy was probably a really casual player that just didn't know any better. If you don't play the game that much a relic is pretty much just as out of reach as a mythic (That is, you wouldn't realistically get either one) so the choices are pretty much all equal to someone like that.

Effectively what I mean by "full bodies/weapons". A single cell makes no sense at all, it's one fifth of a prize or just a less convenient way of getting a gil prize. The possibility exists that they'll give an unwritten full 5 cells and not just one, but that's doubtful.

So do you guys just pick random numbers for each marble or let the moogle decide for you? I've always just let him pick... Is there some myth of SE never picking the moog generated numbers or something?

If that were true, you could simply have the Moogle pick numbers to gradually eliminate the incorrect choices. You didn't put much thought into that, did you? :(

Slycer said: They had their legal teams in each region working on the issues around the Mog Bonanza to get it resolved. They're happy to announce that they've come to a settlement on this and will be able to resume hosting the Bonanzas with the next one scheduled for either late January or February. Usual suspects will be around including Cat's Eye, AA weapons, etc. (they asked for recommendations, too), and obviously more details will be announced as it gets closer.
